@kittonna_saber @bookingcom The router name and codes they provided didn’t exist, and they use a different company than rogers for their internet (Videotron) .. could have been why their phone # was down, but still- they had live chat and didn’t answer and left us stranded..

@nspector4 In specific regions one telco wld likely dominate (eg Videotron in Quebec?) Leaving regions almost as vulnerable. Is the problem really that the GTA went down? Would it have been a nation issue if it was Calgary? So maybe we just need insurance for the Toronto users...

@merry123459 I was with Rogers since 1992. Unsatisfied with their increasingly gouging plans, in 2017 I switched over to Videotron. Very stable service and cost effective plans. 👍

@JeffKirdeikis Your tweet misleads people to believe all Canada is shut down. It only affects those on the Rogers system. Bell, Videotron. Telus and other providers are working just fine.

@Scramjet99 @NaheedD Too high for whom? Define too high. You have a company like videotron who was successful and another like windmobile who wasn’t. If initial capital expenditures got too high, then why proceed to bid? It’s poor implementation/ market strategy.

@thevivafrei @theJagmeetSingh @PierrePoilievre Fido belongs to Rogers, and Telus has Koodo. Then there's Bell. Videotron for all intents and purposes is pretty local. All other discount carriers pay to use the Big 3's networks. If their networks go down, so do the little guys, including Virgin.
