It’s now done, the @Videotron landline account is closed. It’s going to be a lot of work to notify schools, work, doctors, offices, and God knows who else, but I could no longer trust this service.

BTW, when you hear that the Minister says that Videotron will be *required* to hold the licenses for 10 years and that he *expects* prices to come down note those words were chosen deliberately. Required = Actual requirement Expects = Emphatic hope #CRTC #Rogers #Shaw

The CRTC's decision is in response to a complaint from Videotron against Bell, Rogers and Telus, claiming that the Big Three were inflating the costs of wireless devices in order to charge higher cancellation fees.

@Bryson_M The problem is that promises were made to the 2007 class of new entrants (of which only Videotron and Eastlink remain ( Wind was sold so not sure original promises still binding). Govt agreed to shield them from new competition.
