@Videotron Why can't I see the information in my account that I need for verification? How do I know what it is, or if it's even valid? I don't know how you got voted #1 in Quebec for customer service, unless you're the only company there.

  • ljp0101 ljp0101 (@ljp0101) reported

@mgeist Rogers gets to cut unit costs by putting Shaw on its platform while they lose market share so it makes sense for them. Videotron is no longer hamstrung by having a regional network and high roaming fees that allow it to compete aggressively and in all of Canada.

  • BenKlass Ben Klass (@BenKlass) reported

Videotron is saying it will bring prices down once it enters foreign territory. I’m currently paying $45 per month for 27 GB and unlimited calling from fido. Hey @PKP_Qc, you want my business? Make me a better offer!

  • CPComm Campbell Patterson (@CPComm) reported

@quaid_jennifer How can the Minister signal he will likely approve the deal if Videotron buys Freedom and not know what enforceability mechanisms are required? It would be like a Chief Justice of a Competition Tribunal saying a decision needs to be expedited before he sees all the evidence.

  • apukwa @apukwa@mstdn.ca (Scott M.) (@apukwa) reported

@fanCRTCProfling TekSavvy may have made a strategic error by using a single Part I application for both EBox and Videotron. Could allow the minister to muddy the waters "There's a separate issue with both Bell and Rogers playing out...". If the end result is Videotron's deal = tariff rate, 🎉

  • yurkshirelad YurkshireLad (@yurkshirelad) reported

I don't like @Videotron anymore. I ordered three phones. Received two with new plans. My old contract is still in place, and their invoice is so complicated I can't tell what's what. Not the first time we've had problems, but other companies are the same. #sigh

  • peternowak Peter Nowak (@peternowak) reported

PKP on the $850 million Rogers-Videotron network-sharing lawsuit: this time it's going to be different, trust us

  • 2closetocall Bryan Breguet (@2closetocall) reported

@CaelemSG @Curbisboy Well for cellular it might actually help since they'll still Freedom to Videotron, right? Weirdly enough

  • Bryson_M bryson (@Bryson_M) reported

The Competition Bureau's position on the Rogers-Shaw-Videotron deal illustrates the Kafkaesque reasons why Canadians won't benefit from either increased facilities or service-based competition. The CB complains that Videotron would rely on a competitor to provide services.

  • Deadly_JSay BrushyHat (@Deadly_JSay) reported

@juycer @Videotron This happened to me when I was living in a place where all the places were piped through a single fiber and you could experience slowdowns at peak usage times. It really sucked tbh because nothing can be done and it's hard to blame them as you don't have proof. Network topology!
