    Commiserating with last yr's quebecois techbros over being unable to configure DNS/DHCP with their Helix Videotron router/modems today... All I want to do is change my DNS network so when outages like the one today happen, I can just hop over to a different one

    @NoLore Since normal texting does not rely on the internet that would be an excellent idea! We could as long as Videotron has consent from the client in their customer center to receive texts from the company. We will pass on the idea to the appropriate department, thank you! -sms

    Today one of the major Internet providers in Quebec (Videotron) had a DNS outage, so a bunch of my class Zoomed in from their phones. Prof said we were going to have a short test as planned, but we could dip after because data is expensive. That's class-conscious pedagogy! #UQAM
