  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder 🏴‍☠️🦆 (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

@MBAgDays @Xplornet Best day of my life wasn’t my wedding or either of my two sons being born, but it was when I cancelled my Xplornet internet connection in favor of a different ISP. Frankly if I was in charge I’d respect ag days more for shutting down in favor of accepting money from Xplornet.

  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

    @NH3_Guy @traviswillerton @BaldurBarons @Xplornet Won’t hear me anymore. Canceled that shit today.

  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

@TheHellcey @Xplornet @NetSetMB I remember you didn’t like having problems with your stream.

  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder 🏴‍☠️🦆 (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

@ctvwinnipeg As a former Xplornet customer I must say this was an extremely dumb move. They are the worst company in existence.

  • jcalder1983
Farmerjeoff (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

@SassyFarmWife_ @Xplornet Mine has acted up since the minute xplornet bought NetSet. Xplornet sucks.

  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

@KevSab12 @landon707 @BaldurBarons @NH3_Guy @neiljakubowski @bigbushelsag @T_Bartman @Xplornet @GetVisp That’s not a fiber network. Morenet is wireless. Fiber doesn’t fix everything, if the ISP doesn’t have enough bandwidth nothing will fix that. Advantage of fiber is it can carry so much, but it has its limits.

  • jcalder1983
Farmerjeoff (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

Hey @Xplornet Yes, the check I mailed you must not be there yet. Yes I got your ******* email from “collections” for a bill I got 10 days ago and yes I ignored your phone call. I paid the bill with a check and credit card to shut you up. Also your service sucks. 25 Mbps my ass

  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

@Xplornet @XplornetES You guys suck. Service isn’t even 2G level.

  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

The replies to this are amazing. Xplornet is the worst isp ever.

  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

@DtotheIzzoAcres @Xplornet @NetSetMB I’m always livid. And last time I complained their internet person got snarky with me via DM. Apparently I’m wrong for expecting the service I pay for. Shame to see NetSet go down that path. They were so good. Waiting for fiber this summer.

  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder (@jcalder1983) reported from Montcalm, Manitoba

@Plantmore1 @perrin_05 @Shortnyk Yeah, isp shouldn’t make any difference on WiFi signal. Xplornet sucks. Never had so much trouble with an isp than we have had with them. Glad I don’t have it anymore.

  • jcalder1983
Jeff Calder (@jcalder1983) reported from Altona, Manitoba

@DtotheIzzoAcres @Xplornet I cancelled my service with xplornet 2 days after they took full control of NetSet. I’d rather not have internet than give them money.

  • DaveAHudec
    David Hudec (@DaveAHudec) reported

@xplore_ca Once again business fiber is down during operating hours and can't get ahold of anyone for support... Why are we paying $600 a month and can't even talk to someone for support.

  • RealHICALIBER
    High Caliber (@RealHICALIBER) reported

@PersonNotGroup @TheQuartering We got the same service Jeremy has (starlink) or we couldn't have done what he did. We found 52 acres WAAAAY up in the rockies, no cell coverage at all, but we needed internet of course. Xplornet was the only previous option, and not at all reliable.

  • jasonforrest
    Based Canadian (@jasonforrest) reported

@CBCNews Xplornet charges far too much. Please fix this.

  • GarthTwitchell
    Garth Twitchell (@GarthTwitchell) reported

Tonight reminds me of how poor our internet is in northern @TownOfMiltonON with no prospect of it getting better anytime soon. Extremely frustrating. @Colin1Best @vankayak Wireless internet from Xplornet is hopeless. Someone brings me good internet, I’ll buy it.

  • CJH39493411
    CJH (@CJH39493411) reported

@xplore_ca I would but I’ve already talked to your people but apparently when you bought out my internet provider you trained 0 of your people on the system so support is basically non existent. Slow speeds, high cost, no customer support. What exactly am I paying these criminal rates for?

  • cstewartyqr
    Colin Stewart (@cstewartyqr) reported

@tammyrobert @SaskTel What really kills me with SaskTel though is their employees' assertion that no private company would provide service in rural SK (which they don't, either). Access, RFNow, one of the satellite companies Xplornet provide internet in rural SK.

  • fanCRTCProfling
    Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reported

Alternative explanation: These people use Xplornet that never works. These people used to hitting send 9 times for everything. A product of their "world Class" Canadian Communications. This is likely the best explanation and "OpenMedia" was honest enough to show it. #CRTC

  • 2Bfrankpat
    Frank Patterson (@2Bfrankpat) reported

@xplornet I can’t be the only one having trouble tonight.... cmon man

  • Beardune
    Andrew Single (@Beardune) reported

@nathan_koop Xplornet taking over MBNetset was a big step down in quality. Manitoba has squandered the value of all the dark fiber that MB Hydro put in, and now Starlink is making it obsolete.

  • ByronDarlison
    Byron Darlison (@ByronDarlison) reported

@xplornet the wait time for your loyalty department is 56 minutes. Can you explain to me why I have to wait 56 minutes to tell you over the phone that I want to cancel my account?
