@ALGfreedom @newhandle17 @elonmusk I got out of my Xplornet contract: caught them in a lie. They told me ‘no prob’ working from home. But the latency prevented me from connecting to work network!! (Signal to satellite too slow esp w/ VPN). I’ll research Starlink, if any latency issues & of avail here. Should be:

@SteveArdiel If I had unlimited on my phone it would be better tethering to my phone than garbage xplornet.

  • Robert_Hammond Robert H (@Robert_Hammond) reported

@Xplornet Thanks for the update. Your customer service folks tell us: It might be an issue with the tower and they were working on it Tuesday (2 days ago) Or that our radio/equipment is now too old to connect to the tower now. Or that we should power on/off our modem+radio one more time.

  • Robert_Hammond Robert H (@Robert_Hammond) reported

@Xplornet The good news? The new LTE service is installed with Ping’s of 45msec~. The sad news is that we haven’t heard anything more about the service outage on the original equipment and the only reason we’re connected now is because “WE”initiated the LTE update. #YGK #Odessa #xplornet

@kylebryson10 @Xplornet Try never receiving it, and still paying their god awful prices.

  • Robert_Hammond Robert H (@Robert_Hammond) reported

Hey @Xplornet just wondering if they have tried turning the Odessa, #YGK / Kingston tower off and back on again? Or do you have to order in parts to fix it? I know sometimes these things take time but could you at least update the call centre folks with an update or ETA?

  • thinkinggal22 Rose (@thinkinggal22) reported

@brianlilley Eventually they will all just go back to TV because to be honest, the quality of these streaming services on most internet services that we can afford is terrible. None of these actually can stream on basic xplornet service. So not sure what all the hype of this is.

  • Shanksters Yvan Shank (@Shanksters) reported

@Xplornet It's essentially down near Finch ON. Do I need to go back to dialup? It would be faster.

  • Co_opCate Cate (@Co_opCate) reported

@ONTSpecialNeeds Bell was cheaper. Maybe $80 per month. But it was slow. So bad that we ended up getting Xplornet as well (so 2 internet providers) and tethering off of phone data as well. Starlink is much better.

  • HolmesWil William Holmes (@HolmesWil) reported

@Xplornet Your customer phone line is busy. (And full of noise) Do you use Xplornet to carry your customer service? That would explain it.
