Smokey Bull š¤ (@KingPearye) reported@ReidLaxn @Bell Check Xplornet and Shaw.. they are deploying in rural šØš¦ these days. Starlink is too slow and costs more.. I am in rural Quebec and never thought I would have FTTH at 500mbps at $70/month, but it came last summer.

Tybernicus (@Tybernicus17) reported@MajJensen3 @OJoelsen Why would he? In 2021 I bought a house on a paved road 6kms from a small town. Not even Xplornet was available. Cell signal very weak. If not for Starlink, I and many others would have no internet access.

JāØ (@i_like_soup_) reportedHey Xplornet!! A customer not having internet for 6 days is not acceptable in case you were wondering!!! I put up with having 2 Mbps speeds when I pay for 50 Mbps (at a price that should get me gigabit speeds) but this is ridiculous!!!

Indubitably Tho (@IndubitablyTho) reported@preta_6 With Starlink, while not as fast as Telus fibre (right now), you can look forward to incremental upgrades in speed, and equipment, over time. I suggested to a client suffering with only the choice of Xplornet (crap speed + outages) switch to Starlink back in 2020. Installation couldn't have been easier and reliability of his Internet connection immediately stabilized. Everything has got better since, including being sent the latest hardware for free. Starlink's plans for continuously upgrading their satellite constellation were the deal maker for me - and should be for others suffering under Xplornet.
