@cbraedley @nsgov @developns @Xplornet Well that would be an absolutely terrible decision because their satellite service is much better than the canopy system. The canopy system deployed by Eastlink is ridiculously unreliable. No person in their right mind wants that slow system. 1.5 Mbps no thanks

@cbraedley @nsgov @developns @Xplornet I'm not sure if you're familiar with the canopy system but it's a wireless system that is notoriously poor. If we were actually going to get fibre to the door I would be very happy. They ran fibre to the local Reserve but nobody else has it

Do you know what’s fun? Waiting half an hour for what was supposed to be a 17 minute callback and instead of being sent to customer service being sent directly to the survey and being hung up on. Can’t even manage that eh @xplornet

@Xplornet Your service is so bad. Pay for 25mb in and barely get 11mb. Probably lose signal 25-30 times per day. Some days can hardly get a web page to load. Huge amounts of spam/phishing emails about my account. I can't wait until my #Starlink arrives.

@Xplornet The tower is likely filled with cottagers & campers & I was told the panel I was supposed to be on was literally closed the next day (Saturday) after the installer never showed. Horrible. Internet is vital, it is an essential service that I was promised by them.

In fairness, both Xplornet and Bell, both of whom are in dire financial difficulty also getting financial bailout to help them continue what a healthy company does on its own: expand customer base.

@pgarvpoultry @BotTheWrongDip We recently switched. Xplornet never worked properly. Every day this past year it would not work for hours and we paid a lot & it was so slow, couldn’t watch netflix. Had several “repairs” but it was still awful. We switched to a competitor that’s fast, reliable & cheaper.
