So, I ask an honest question of @Xplornet - what are you doing to address your overburdened LTE service? Forget the corporate speak, subterfuge, key messaging & the oh so dreaded, “Please contact our customer support.”Instead, provide a true answer so we can decide to stay or go.

  • wesley_davidson Wesley🇨🇦 (@wesley_davidson) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@Xplornet Sure if @SpaceXStarlink becomes available before then, which it will, I'll be switching. Your satellite internet service is poor and very expensive. I did notice you've offered the ability to purchase more data at an exorbitant rate. Thanks

  • hammer4974 Chris Hammer (@hammer4974) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@Xplornet many internet users of your service in @SthFrontenacTwp having internet issues and getting kicked off? Is there too much of a surge on the system? @SFrontenac

  • koopy Steve Koopman (@koopy) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@AnnDeer4 @Xplornet I have and they quickly gave me a $15/month credit for 6 months. But I almost don’t care - it’s the speed and dependability I need, not a relatively menial and temporary savings in service. I think that’s also telling how they gave the discount so effortlessly.

  • koopy Steve Koopman (@koopy) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@AndyBlizzard87 I hear ya. I was with WTC for years near Sunbury but after our last move they didn’t have coverage in our current rural area. We were forced to choose @Xplornet, who have been hit and miss, but over the last 1-2 years they’ve been brutal because they flooded their LTE service.

  • ASHESOJMJPN Ashley Y (@ASHESOJMJPN) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@Xplornet @SucksXplornet I don’t know how anyone is expected to do google meets for school when your internet is such ****... my kid can’t hear his teacher because the internet is glitching..

  • koopy Steve Koopman (@koopy) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

The tragic thing is we get used to @Xplornet’s shitty service, we sit there, and we take it. We become complacent, and we say: “Well, tonight it only took 1 min to buffer a movie.” “I think those pixels are faces.” “It only paused or froze 10 times over 2 hours.” 13/

  • gbdmedia Brad Duffy (@gbdmedia) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@APLenehan our local tower has had “known issues” for four years now. Our internet doesn’t work at all now. According to xplornet, there are no plans to fix the tower. This is the worst service I have ever seen. 10 kB/s now. This is shameful.

  • wesley_davidson Wesley🇨🇦 (@wesley_davidson) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@fordnation At least four weeks.🙄 Is that the same as when @Xplornet sells speeds up to 25 Mbps and never delivers?

  • koopy Steve Koopman (@koopy) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

I feel like @Xplornet and similar rural internet companies are the modern equivalent of Blockbuster, and guys like @elonmusk with @SpaceX’s Starlink are Netflix. The former simply can’t see the train coming down the tracks. Stop ignoring your customers’ needs! 7/

Xplore Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • SudioC Suzanne C (@SudioC) reported

@VoosieVooters @Xplornet They still haven't called us back - so I'm guessing it won't be a problem for us since we can't sign up in the first place

  • drafoss DarcyR (@drafoss) reported

@wheatcrest I have had no issues so far…but price did jump to $140…still worth it vs xplornet….

  • ottawareferee Sean (@ottawareferee) reported

I had an @Xplornet representative today tell me that due to "traffic management" they were not going to provide the service that they've been charging me for the last three years. Basically, they take your money but don't supply the agreed upon service. Buyer beware!

  • Elon_R_Tusk Elon Tusk (@Elon_R_Tusk) reported

@Xplornet #Saskatchewan residents can get a LOT more bandwidth and actually be able to use Netflix by switching to @SpaceX #Starlink systems. Xplornet is high latency, high cost, bad value.

  • CraKelPureScous Craig (@CraKelPureScous) reported

@Xplornet Outage this morning? Nothing connecting, Fraserville, ON

  • the_wellnessmom Kporter (@the_wellnessmom) reported

@Xplornet Are you having any outages? I just had my dish realigned last week, and now my internet is not working.... again.... 😑

  • jeaubin5 JB (@jeaubin5) reported

@John_Capobianco Nice! What was available at your place before? Bell only offer 5mbps at my place, but Xplornet is not bad where I live. Bell said they will install Fiber 3 years ago at the house, still no sign of them.

  • PaulaSunBruce Paula Bruce (@PaulaSunBruce) reported

@Xplornet the internet sucks again today!

  • JoshWaito Josh Waito (@JoshWaito) reported

Any other rural Canadians tired of their fast reliable internet service provider being bought and destroyed by xplornet?

  • sim_sally Sally Sim (@sim_sally) reported

@Xplornet when will the internet be back up and running in the Kawartha Lakes area? It’s been days of crappy service and none at all today
