Xplore Issues Reports Near Raymonds Corners, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Raymonds Corners and nearby locations:

  • gbdmedia Brad Duffy (@gbdmedia) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@APLenehan our local tower has had “known issues” for four years now. Our internet doesn’t work at all now. According to xplornet, there are no plans to fix the tower. This is the worst service I have ever seen. 10 kB/s now. This is shameful.

  • koopy Steve Koopman (@koopy) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@AnnDeer4 @Xplornet I have and they quickly gave me a $15/month credit for 6 months. But I almost don’t care - it’s the speed and dependability I need, not a relatively menial and temporary savings in service. I think that’s also telling how they gave the discount so effortlessly.

  • koopy Steve Koopman (@koopy) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

I feel like @Xplornet and similar rural internet companies are the modern equivalent of Blockbuster, and guys like @elonmusk with @SpaceX’s Starlink are Netflix. The former simply can’t see the train coming down the tracks. Stop ignoring your customers’ needs! 7/

  • koopy Steve Koopman (@koopy) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

So, I ask an honest question of @Xplornet - what are you doing to address your overburdened LTE service? Forget the corporate speak, subterfuge, key messaging & the oh so dreaded, “Please contact our customer support.”Instead, provide a true answer so we can decide to stay or go.

  • koopy Steve Koopman (@koopy) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

The tragic thing is we get used to @Xplornet’s shitty service, we sit there, and we take it. We become complacent, and we say: “Well, tonight it only took 1 min to buffer a movie.” “I think those pixels are faces.” “It only paused or froze 10 times over 2 hours.” 13/

@AndyBlizzard87 I hear ya. I was with WTC for years near Sunbury but after our last move they didn’t have coverage in our current rural area. We were forced to choose @Xplornet, who have been hit and miss, but over the last 1-2 years they’ve been brutal because they flooded their LTE service.

@Xplornet Look, another pointless tweet from xplornet that has nothing to do with their terrible service.

  • olblue81 Stuart Lawrence (@olblue81) reported

@kenny_moo @Xplornet I was only near that when my service was new. It's consistently gone down to this level. During a speed test I peaked at 17 once, but the average was only 8.

  • Ouzoshrimplover Janice Hicks (@Ouzoshrimplover) reported

@Xplornet Yes. We have been exploring other internet providers after searching for your "hidden gem" you call fast service.

  • CAWguy J.L. 1285 (@CAWguy) reported

@JesseBrown @sula_greene Yeah, it was awesome when Xplornet purchased our local, rural ISP, then promptly shut it down leaving us with nothing.

  • olblue81 Stuart Lawrence (@olblue81) reported

@cpwcsk I was about to pony up for that and xplornet went LTE at Elrose and saved me a bunch of dollars. The satellite service was terrible for us. One time I updated SMS and downloaded display firmware before harvest and hit my data cap. LTE at least has unlimited data.

  • m3t4lw01f m3t4lw01f (@m3t4lw01f) reported

@Shinzah321 @kevdevlyn @Xplornet What I mean is, the CRTC has actually approved it, and people in Canada already have the service. It's happening. I'm hopeful their timeline of "early 2021" for a more widespread rollout pans out. Regardless how long it takes, I'm still looking forward to that call to Xplornet.

  • m3t4lw01f m3t4lw01f (@m3t4lw01f) reported

@olblue81 @Xplornet note, those results were pre-Christmas on Vanscoy tower. I've since been moved to Martensville tower and results are a mixed bag ranging from "nothing" to "hot garbage" with a few hours of "not what I pay for but just usable" here and there. My Twitter history shows more.

  • OffCentreFarms Al Sutherland (@OffCentreFarms) reported

@woody_VA @PetkerFarm MPV and Xplornet provide service off an elevator leg that is within eyesight

  • CWaldnet Chris Waldner (@CWaldnet) reported

@bigbushelsag @olblue81 @Xplornet Well keep paying the same for **** wifi compared to starlink. I’ll gladly line Elon’s pockets if it means I get decent wifi.

  • fastjeff Fast Jeff (@fastjeff) reported

@Xplornet What does this have to do with anything? Look at these pretty colours, ignore our terrible internet. Nobody is falling for this "marketing".
