@pugganoche @kathleenogrady Omg, Xplornet satellite service is just bad. It might be a long shot, but perhaps starlink could be an option. I know people who have had success with it in this part of the world.

@Xplornet Yeah I know but your satellite service doesn't offer unlimited download, which is mandatory for my household

meantime I am having drinks with my neighbour, both of us 2 wks past the 2nd dose and I ask him about his connection. He is an @Xplornet customer. He's had problems all week and he was told by CSR that there were problems with @Xplornet equipment at Wellington water tower. /6

@Xplornet You guys should consider rebranding your company name to “We can not explore the internet because it never works”…. Brutal

@SaskTel @Xplornet @MyAccessCA should be investing in rural communities for better internet services and tens of thousands of rural customers wouldn’t opt to support a certain California company for our internet. 1/2

@Xplornet During pandemic when husband & sons had to work/study from home, we rarely went to our cottage cuz Xplornet was so damn slow & unreliable despite various tech visits. We upgraded to almost $100/month last summer, still awful. Just switched isp,new service is cheaper, fast&reliable.

@pugganoche @kathleenogrady Another option I didn't know existed is Bell Wireless Home, which we're on right now. It works well for us right now. It's Bell, but at least it's not Xplornet. Sorry for all the suggestions. Just trying to help people get off terrible internet.

So I have @Xplornet for internet access in @PECOntario just outside of Wellington. For the past few days download speed is usually less than 1mbps. Obviously no work or Netflix. Currently it's 0.26. I put in a call to customer service. The CSR tells me there is a problem at /1
