@fanCRTCProfling Given what I've heard about the quality of their product and support, as well as the fact they're technically insolvent, "gutter" is a fitting analogy. Cogeco installed coax and by comparison the wiring is pristine with a proper jack plate and everything.

@cogecohelps for the last 3 months my bill has been coming later and later, and now Cogeco has moved the payment due date up by 5 days so the bill will always come after the due date. Cogeco has always had great customer service until now.

@jafcon @6ixbuzztv Where I live in Ontario, Cogeco sends out a team of people every three months to harass me. One guy I had to say NO to 18 times. Only left when I threatened to call the cops. I like my service I stay with it, not signing due to thugs hired by a company I do NOT want

“We had high hopes that this govt would make better decisions for business” roars Fred Perron, CEO of Cogeco. In a fit of petulance he was angered by Joly’s decision to uphold the CRTC devision to force telecom cos to open up their fibre optics network to competitors I am no fan of Joly’s . She’s messed up many a file but this is the right decision. Canadas telecom cos have grown fat and lazy under the current rules and the result they behave like a monopoly and result is Canadians pay higher fees than anywhere else in the world and get poorer service. These fat cats profess love of free market competition but love their protections by big govt. more. My only complaint is that Jolies decision didn’t go far enough - she should allow the big US telecoms up here. Then we’d get some real competition and hear some real whining

My aunt just got her Cogeco bill. They charged $0.12 late payment interest and a $250 Late Payment Administration fee. Is this REALLY what happens now when the credit card company issues you a new account and you forget to update your automatic payments?

@ContrarianTribe The same way the government monopolized the communication industry for the likes of Bell, Shaw, Cogeco & Rogers. The results are always the same... terrible service at unreasonably high prices and no alternatives.
