@Todd0575 @cogeco Service outages happen everywhere with everyone. Judging by the wide scale outage and the website and phones not working it sounds like something outside of cogeco’s control. Google is having some problems too. It’s better to research and understand not ***** all the time.

I’m not sure what’s worse: Intermittent service or no service at all? My internet is trying to work, but I can’t accomplish much of anything. Plus, even my bell data seems laggy now. #Cogeco

@cogecohelps for those who can try switching your DNS servers on your router to Google’s servers (8.8.8.8 for example). This resolved the problem for me. Seems like Cogeco dns servers aren’t reachable.

@LimestoneDSB The issue is with Cogeco's DNS servers. If you change the DNS servers on your router to google's DNS it fixes the issues. 8.8.8.8 8.8.8.4

@Tierney4351 @cogeco SUPER awesome that their customer support apparatus is completely and utterly unable to help anyone, or even to inform their customers that there are issues. Great show, awesome job, @cogeco!

@adamfilip @cogeco For me it kinda works, slow as hell and unreliable. I've also tried the cloudfare public DNS, same result

Nothing makes applying again for ei/crb online more of traumatic experience than having to deal with cogeco having an outage at the same time

For those with #Cogeco, if you're experiencing connection problems, you can hardcode 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 as your DNS servers until Cogeco fixes the issue on their end. Please dm or @me if you want to know how to do this
