    $CCA.NE Cogeco Communications: Paid 6.6% to own a stock priced for a (not so certain) slow death. Cogeco is a Regional North American cable: internet, TV, phone, thin MVNO. ~1.6m subs. Canada holds. Breezeline (13 secondary US states) is the problem child. Kind of a Mini-Comcast (disclaimer: owner). The familt keeps 80% of the votes via $CGO. Thesis. C$60, 5.0–5.3x EBITDA, 13x FCF, 6.6% growing dividend. FCF still C$500–550m on C$2.5bn of equity. Monte Carlo (20k): median C$88 / mean C$93, 79% of paths above spot. You get paid while waiting for US to stop getting worse. Risks. Breezeline is half of EBITDA and still losing broadband to fibre/FWA, they just wrote off C$1.2–1.8bn. Maybe sold once the operations will have improved? Net debt C$4.44bn (3.2x). Buybacks paused until ~3.0x. Priced in. Ongoing βˆ’2/βˆ’3% sales, margins stuck, capex stuck 20% of sales, WACC 8.5–9%. Discounts. dying-cable multiple + ugly US mix + leverage + dual-class shares. Not investment advice.

    @CDInewsletter Really appreciate the thoughtful reply and coming from you, it carries weight. I ran both Quebecor and Cogeco through the algorithm just now. And I am happy to see that your instincts mostly checkout :) : $QBR-B: 🟒 OPTIMAL | Quality 85, Opportunity 80. P/FFO 8.7x, ND/EBITDA 2.9x, 11.8% dividend CAGR. The model loves this one - Quality 85 is significantly higher than BCE (57) or Telus (58). The 2.2% yield is light, but total shareholder yield is 3.79% with buybacks. $CCA: 🟠 CAUTION | Quality 45, Opportunity 70. Yield 6.38%, P/FFO 1.5x. The $2.2B impairment on the U.S. segment (Breezeline) is flagged as a permanent structural problem, not temporary. The algorithm sees the value but doesn't trust the moat. The BCE management trust point is well taken. "The dividend is safe" β†’ 42% cut a year later is exactly the kind of credibility gap no quantitative model captures.     @cogeco There way to many of it going around I was with TD Bank got fraud so many times block people and all fr company that I did know or no account with the company TD have stand behide company not the person with TD you would think they would stand with us but no they never did

    I live in a townhome complex. Wifi has been down since noon when road crew cut cable. I called immediately and was told they would fix it THIS afternoon. This evening, I spent 1-1/2 hours on hold with @cogeco only to be told it will be another 24-48 hours!!

    @cogeco There is no patience from me Camille. Our service was working and is now out again. As I said in a previous post, I will be calling Cogeco tomorrow to see when my contract is up and promptly switching out. Cogeco service is amateurish at best.
