@cogeco I'm trying to call your customer service but it's cutting me off. It's understandable that there's technical difficulty at the moment but even calling the customer service is bad too

  • philmillman import { phil } from 'miller' (@philmillman) reported

@toddycoupe @neverfever @outagedetect I had to do it in my modem/router since my mesh WiFi was failing with the broken DNS. If you're using the Cogeco WiFi you should be able to set on either laptop or router.

  • Dtaylor3266 Dianna Taylor, CPA (@Dtaylor3266) reported

@cogeco All of your phone numbers are saying they are out of service. What is that about? Can’t get to your website either??

  • Jaapie Jaapie (@Jaapie) reported

@Cogeco. Service has been down since 10 AM in Brockville.

  • tobiascarryer Tobias Carryer (@tobiascarryer) reported

@cogeco Here's how to fix it on Mac: Settings > Network Click on Wi-Fi on the left. Click "Advanced..." on the bottom right. Click DNS at the top. Click the plus sign on the bottom left under "DNS Servers". Type 8.8.8.8 Do it again for 8.8.8.4 "OK" and "Apply"

  • justincooke182 Justin (@justincooke182) reported

@constanzapool @cogeco No extra cost. Think of it like using Google's "phonebook" to translate addresses rather than Cogeco's. When the outage is resolved, I would switch it back to the previous state but there's also no harm in continuing to use Google's DNS servers (or any other DNS servers).

  • MC92674833 MC (@MC92674833) reported

@cogeco When we need you the most, you FAIL! Rates go up, service goes down.

  • mingram0 Michael (@mingram0) reported

@Trishy_R @Fear8Itself @cogeco Google is not down. Cogeco is simply having issues with their DNS servers

  • WH1TE__FANG723 WH1TE__FANG (@WH1TE__FANG723) reported

@cogecohelps switching to another company as soon as this outage comes back and dealing with customer service. Thanks a lot. A days work, gone thanks to cogeco internet and phone provider.

  • the_shans Shannon (@the_shans) reported

@Daniel75124110 @KeeganB63977789 @cogeco Same, switched in May for online learning/work and wish I could go back to my previous service. It was slow but worked. 1G is a joke. Had 2 modems, 2 extenders and 18 service calls. I don’t live in a cinder block house and am dead centre in the city. No excuse. Can’t wait 4 Bell!
