George Glass (but not imaginary)✌️™ (@shoelettuce) reportedFour times now on different days at different times, @Rogers has told me “we’re currently experiencing extremely high call volume and cannot help, please call again later” and disconnected me. Is this a joke??

Oleksiy Kovyrin 🇺🇦🇨🇦 (@kovyrin) reported@RogersHelps, this may be one of the worst customer support experiences I've ever had. I ordered a SECOND internet service for a new house. Rogers shipped me an XB8. It wouldn't connect. Technical support eventually figured out that Rogers provisioned the new modem against the WRONG address. Great. Simple backend mistake. Should be easy to fix, right? Nope. Yesterday: 45 minutes waiting for phone support before giving up. Today: hours dealing with support. Technical Support diagnoses the problem, then transfers me to Customer Care. Customer Care tells me they can't access the account and sends me BACK to the same phone number. I ask for the account number I'll need when I call. They give me an old account number and tell me it's associated with an address in Surrey, BC. Except MyRogers shows that exact account number as my CURRENT internet service in Waterloo. Eventually they find another account ending in the same four digits as the new service agreement — but can't even confirm the service address and tell me to call the “specialist team.” All I need is for Rogers to associate the modem THEY SHIPPED with the internet service THEY CREATED at the address ON THEIR OWN SERVICE AGREEMENT. I've spent hours trying to find a human being with permission to fix what appears to be a Rogers provisioning error. How is this a reasonable customer experience in 2026?
-
Richard Miller (@Millergram33) reported@westcoastgirl1 @Rogers I wouldn’t switch, horrific customer service. Try getting in touch with a real person, not in a chat session, completely impossible
-
Fred (@FjSaikaly) reported@JayGenXer @Rogers That’s what happens when the farm out their tech support to other countries…you’re lucky it’s only 1.5 hours.
-
Jas (@keepontruckin78) reported@JayGenXer @Rogers After Rogers Home phone got bought out and gutted by Primus I left them. The writing was on the wall as they couldn't compete on coverage with Telus in BC and their prices kept increasing for mediocre service.
-
Randal (@RandalDucharme) reported@JayGenXer @BrendaShawPEng @Rogers They do it in purpose to make it harder to receive service or cancel your plan. Can't cancel if you can't get through.
-
Sanwin (@sanwins) reported@JayGenXer @BrendaShawPEng @Rogers They really suck even if online chat support has a 90 minute wait time.
-
The Boxing Advocate (@boxingadvocate) reported@RogersHelps @Rogers I have an issue that can’t be resolved online or by an AI assistant. I need to talk to a human. I’ve called five times and every time I’m given a message that due to “extremely high call volumes” you are unable to take my call. What am I supposed to do here?
-
Bob Duncan (@BobDuncan9751) reported@XDUB1007 @Rogers Then won't have to listen to worst booth in MLB. Shill-man and Fiddle
