It would not be fair to have no service the whole day today and be subjected to a long wait time on the phone just to get a rebate that we are entitled to.

I know why this happened now and the processes/decisions that led to it as well. It's a common IT approach that many big businesses wanting to reduce costs are using now but the risks are too high.
