My @Rogers internet connection is down yet again. It "should be back up in 24hrs or less." Truly horrible service for way too much money.

@RogersHelps What caused the issue? It was working fine and then not. My wife and I both work from home and have been unable to do so now. It’s quite frustrating that this continues to happen with this service.

@christocracy @TaylorSicard @Rogers It sucks that we are bombarded with Ads, and beholden to just a handful of players, paying top dollar, yet when it comes to choices, we get almost none. When they decide what we get, we have to accept or go without. Clearly no one thought this Internet thing through back then.

@peternowak @Rogers @Bell Set her up with Ooma. VOIP, about $5/month, $10 for the premium service. She keeps her #, and uses her phone exactly the same as she does now.

@Rogers I would not trust Rogers for anything. Not surprised they had the whole country out of touch this summer but also fail in the simplest tasks. I have been on the phone for one hour just to cancel my services and they fail to do so. Terrible company no one should be proud of.

Y'know, internet and cellphone services get a lot of attention for being ripoffs in Canada, but let's talk about home phones. My 80-year-old mom is currently paying @Rogers $65 a month for a landline. Basic service from @Bell is $52, but add any feature and it's $67. 1/3
