  • sohotitsart Megan (@sohotitsart) reported from Calgary, Alberta

@hallsy_30 @SaskTel Infuriating internet moguls! SHAW first told me my crap speed was my devices. 2nd guy agreed it definitely wasn’t. Tech who came to my house said I could have the privilege of paying an extra 10$ a month for pods to get the speed I should have had all along I’ve paying been for.

  • sohotitsart Megan (@sohotitsart) reported from Calgary, Alberta

@hallsy_30 @SaskTel Glad you got it resolved. I politely complained at one point & they did give me 2 months free but my service is still spotty as a teenager. Oh well, it’s a pretty first world problem so I’m trying to be accepting. Wishing you the best of the best!

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • RaiderPaul70 Mr Pauly Mac 🇨🇦 (@RaiderPaul70) reported

@ajesusjoseph @TorontoStar Rogers is the problem, right? Out here, SaskTel was fine. The point is "always available" because it's essentially a public utility

  • SunshineSucks Trevor Risk (@SunshineSucks) reported

@SunshineRulez Maybe just let Sasktel be a player federally? I'm sure there's an infrastructure problem with that i'm not thinking of. We have Vidéotron here. Rogers tried to buy it out but the one Quebecker on the board pulled the rip cord and sold it to Québecor, which was weirdly his right.

  • CraigSaunders Craig Saunders (@CraigSaunders) reported

@BOWZ6CV @SaveWildBees Depends on your definition. SaskTel's network covers at least all of southern Saskatchewan, which is pretty empty outside the cities. I get service everywhere on the Bruce Peninsula. Even got it in Parc National de Jacques-Cartier (though not on the road just outside the park).

  • FidlumBenz Chizzler (@FidlumBenz) reported

@JFN1971 @dingelmeyer @JJ_McCullough Funny I'm here tweeting at you from my sasktel phone wondering what the problem is with sasktel?

  • influenya Princess Enya (@influenya) reported

@ProfSmithSask @suestroud @SaskTel But do they have their own network or do they use Rogers/Bell/Telus’ network?

  • joshmacewen Josh MacEwen (@joshmacewen) reported

@JJ_McCullough Lmao, tell that to the former MTS (provincially owned) customers who are paying more ever since Bell took it over. Then talk to a SaskTel customer. Or just fail to explain your seemingly baseless opinion.

  • BrentMcKee Brent McKee🇨🇦🇺🇦 (@BrentMcKee) reported

@don92568937 @JamesCordon6 @JJ_McCullough Uh no. SaskTel prices are lower than the competition across the board - landline, wireless, Internet, television. And has a combined 1.4 million customer connections.

  • MoodysGlobal Moody's TO, OTT (@MoodysGlobal) reported

@JJ_McCullough WDYM? What is SaskTel? Toronto’s been actively discussing a public service for some time, both to avoid outages like Rogers AND to get rid of the most expensive prices in the WORLD🌎. Research, research, research.

  • Coryjankoski Cory Jankoski (@Coryjankoski) reported

@Mikki_Blueyes @SaskTel yeah, the Interact was a problem my Credit card bill is going to suck this month 😱😱

  • Andrewp9110 Andrew Podolecki 🇨🇦 🇺🇦 (@Andrewp9110) reported

@LeftTurnCanada At MINIMUM a federal crown corporation to be the 4th carrier to compete and break down the monopoly. Like how SaskTel is a public utility that holds majority control of Sask market
