Greg Bamford🇺🇦 (@Drofmab) reported from Regina, Saskatchewan@cstewartyqr Yeah - my issue was twofold: - I either had to transfer my Bell contracts to SaskTel, or buy-out nearly 2 years remaining with Bell; and - Rogers’ coverage was (still is) exceptionally limited in Sask. Cities, and major highways. Not viable for my use.
-
Pete Paczko (@ppaczko) reported from Regina, Saskatchewan@mickpanko @SaskTelSupport @SaskTel I’m on Access, but I have that issue pretty often. The rebroadcast signal from TSN is choppy, while the original feed from whichever U.S. network is fine. Annoying.

Mark Heise (@MarkTheBrewer) reported from Regina, Saskatchewan@QuickDickMcDick @SaskTel In the same breath, I remember one prov park had terrible service every summer. They thought it was oversubscribed. I finally dug into it and discovered a govt computer would get turned on every summer that was full of viruses & killed service for everyone.

jennifer L hatcher (@JenniferLh1234) reported from Regina, SaskatchewanSeriously voices has hate and good. Voices are telling me alot about how other's speak?. You ever think about how I feel. How I deal with the property and how many times how walls can smell. Seriously invisible shut down sasktel user's. Other property don't. Wanna gospel?
-
Alex (@alexYQR) reported from Regina, Saskatchewan@ctvregina This will harm @SaskTel’s residential business more than it saves it money. Sasktel will need to pay for additional support staff to assist customers, as well as deal with the fallout resulting in the general distaste in the province for what people feel are unnecessary fees.
-
Janelle Blakley (@janellemblakley) reported from Regina, Saskatchewan@MelissaBrie @SaskTel I had this issue with @TELUS on my last billing cycle. No idea how I could’ve reached my data limit, I’m on wifi all day!
-
Mark Heise (@MarkTheBrewer) reported from Regina, Saskatchewan@QuickDickMcDick @SaskTel As someone who was responsible for those rural networks, I can tell you SaskTel invested a fortune in them. And often exec govt footed the bill the bring better service into an area. There is no way a private company would have done the same. But ya, the service still sucks.

-
XCorpHub (@XCorpHub) reported🚨 SaskTel partners with Starlink to boost connectivity for rural businesses SaskTel has formed a strategic partnership with Starlink to deliver high-speed business internet services across Saskatchewan. Effective April 1, 2026, the province’s crown corporation will manage installation, equipment purchases, and billing in-house for qualifying rural businesses holding a valid GST number. This initiative directly supports small farms, mines, and forestry operations in areas where traditional fibre or broadband infrastructure remains costly and slow to deploy. Existing Starlink Business customers can switch to SaskTel billing at no charge, allowing them to consolidate services seamlessly. The move represents a meaningful advancement in closing the connectivity gap for rural Saskatchewan enterprises.

SaskTel Support (@SaskTelSupport) reported10:45 PM: A planned SaskTel outage will occur on March 11, from midnight to approximately 6:00 a.m., while crews complete permanent fibre repairs related to last year’s wildfire damage. During this window, Internet, wireless, and landline (home and business) services will be unavailable across multiple Northeast Saskatchewan communities, including Sandy Bay, Brabant Lake, Geikie River, Wollaston Lake, Black Lake, Key Lake, McArthur River, Cigar Lake, Collins Bay, Stony Rapids, and Fond‑du‑Lac. This work is necessary to repair the damage and ensure the long‑term reliability of services in the area. SaskTel apologizes for any inconvenience this outage may cause and thanks customers for their patience while crews complete the work as quickly as possible. In the event of an emergency, residents in and around these communities will need to physically contact their nearest emergency services for assistance. #skoutage

ℍ𝕚𝕕𝕕𝕖𝕟 🦸♀️ 𝕂𝕚𝕥𝕥𝕖𝕙 (@HiddenKitteh) reportedWill the Sasktel saga never end? 2 months now, no home internet. Neighbour has been in her home a week and today Sasktel is parking in MY driveway to install her internet.... *sigh*. It's ok, I really didn't want to leave the house to get stuff done today anyway....
-
Czarina Catambing (@czarcatambing) reported@SaskTel I'm trying to get customer support because I'm in Thailand and can't receive SMS. There's no carrier signal from here, and I've done all the troubleshooting to no avail. Can you help me out?
-
Kenlis View Farm 🌾 (@KenlisViewFarm) reported@ExnerPirot CO-OP is more expensive than non cooperative competition although it is often the only store in many rural towns. Sasktel is also notoriously unreliable despite having a monopoly on cell towers. We have starlink at home & in the cars to make up for Sasktel’s lack of service
-
B (@SKnewstalk) reported@PremierScottMoe your budget should have put @sasktel in its place for being a degenerate crown Corp and charging service users more while they get services reduced.
-
Elfer (@ClassicElfer) reported@jerik22 @Ryan_r_Williams This is the line the big telcos use, but it doesn't hold up under scrutiny. Before sasktel was bought out, they were somehow able to offer lower prices than they offered in much more densely populated provinces, in order to compete with the publicly-owned service.
