And often exec govt footed the bill the bring better service into an area. There is no way a private company would have done the same. But ya, the service still sucks.

They thought it was oversubscribed. I finally dug into it and discovered a govt computer would get turned on every summer that was full of viruses & killed service for everyone.

Greg Bamford🇺🇦 (@Drofmab) reported from Regina, Saskatchewan@cstewartyqr Yeah - my issue was twofold: - I either had to transfer my Bell contracts to SaskTel, or buy-out nearly 2 years remaining with Bell; and - Rogers’ coverage was (still is) exceptionally limited in Sask. Cities, and major highways. Not viable for my use.

This initiative directly supports small farms, mines, and forestry operations in areas where traditional fibre or broadband infrastructure remains costly and slow to deploy. Access, RFNow, one of the satellite companies Xplornet provide internet in rural SK.
