I ditched Sask tel a year ago because of this issue, and was told when fibre was in the area it would be way better. Paying for the fastest available and getting a fraction of it and I'm NOT happy

And it will be ok for a short while, then revert again. Tired of substandard product at high prices. I've contacted other companies..done with this

Some couldn't even get out or work because of the snow. It's not just a today issue. These vans are an issue ALL winter long. The people making the decisions aren't the ones driving them, obviously.

Effective April 1, 2026, the province’s crown corporation will manage installation, equipment purchases, and billing in-house for qualifying rural businesses holding a valid GST number. This initiative directly supports small farms, mines, and forestry operations in areas where traditional fibre or broadband infrastructure remains costly and slow to deploy. Existing Starlink Business customers can switch to SaskTel billing at no charge, allowing them to consolidate services seamlessly. As an IT & Cybersecurity Company that supports travel and works across Canada there is nothing as easy and that works as well as Starlink. From Africa to Canada! There are ways to secure data beyond your ISP, if people are not using that they should be. Telesat has been promising their solution for 5 years now, 4 Billion in Taxpayers money and still no testing. Amazon Leo is testing but is also US based.

Sasktel is the best telecom company in Canada and drives down the other big 3’s prices in Saskatchewan. A public option is absolutely a good thing for esssntials.

SaskTel Support (@SaskTelSupport) reportedOn March 18, crews will be completing scheduled maintenance on the satellite network that supports SaskTel Landline Phone services (Home Phone and Business Phone) in Uranium City. As a result of this work, SaskTel Landline services will be unavailable for approximately eight hours in and around the community. While crews will work to complete the maintenance as quickly as possible, the exact timing of the service interruption and restoration cannot be confirmed in advance.

The tower is located out of town. It didn’t work in Meadow Lake, Loon Lake or Goodsoil until they put towers right in town. I was A TST for 38 years.
