SaskTel Support (@SaskTelSupport) reportedSaskTel service outage impacting Whitecap Dakota First Nation and other communities May 27, 2026 – SaskTel is currently experiencing a service outage impacting Internet, Wireless, and Landline (SaskTel Home and Business Phone) services in and around Whitecap Dakota First Nation, Pike Lake, Gledhow and the surrounding areas. SaskTel technicians have been dispatched to resolve the outage, however, there currently is no estimated time of repair. SaskTel would like to apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause for customers and thank them for their patience while we work to restore services as quickly as possible. In the event of an emergency, residents in and around the community will need to physically contact their nearest emergency services for assistance.

This work is necessary to repair the damage and ensure the long‑term reliability of services in the area. SaskTel apologizes for any inconvenience this outage may cause and thanks customers for their patience while crews complete the work as quickly as possible. I spend a lot of time in Saskatchewan, people here seem pretty satisfied with SGI and SaskPower as well, even though they are monopolies, unlike SaskTel. Government run isn't always bad, just usually.
