Also if I’m not mistaken the profits from SGI Canada subsidize their provincial rates. I lived in Sask for five years and really enjoyed the service from both Sasktel and SGI.

Greg Helfrich (@GregHelfrich) reported@RantingCanuck @kim_siever MTS and Sasktel where never nationalized, they were always crown corporations. I can't find a company of any size that was nationalized that isn't private today. CN Rail, Potash Corp of Sask, Cameo, Air Canada, etc. To be clear, I'm talking about forced nationalization.

But I believe market competition ensures all others have to catch up to the leader. I don’t know why Telus/Rogers/Bell are consistently so bad but I think it could be lack of competition.

These huge outages are a result of few national networks.. all your eggs in one basket.. isn't connectivity an essential service these days?
