Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Jay Walt (@JayDWalt) reported@TorontoStar We need a minimum of a fourth player. Maybe the government needs to help set it up. Saskatchewan has 4 and Sasktel is gov owned. Also block sage merger.
-
DreamWeaver (@DreamWever73) reported@ProfSmithSask @SaskTel So what your saying is that Alberta needs to bring back AGT? Great idea. Maybe we can get some new lines put in. Internet15 sucks.
-
Mark Melnychuk (@Melnychuk86) reported@nickfaye @SaskTel I think my Sasktel internet has gone out once in the 12 years I've been a customer. Very reliable service.
-
Yung Catholic 🇻🇦🍁 (@TheYungCatholic) reported@pressFToTweet @DIorioNathaniel Yeah the obvious solution is both/and. Ontario should have its own version of SaskTel AND the market should be opened up to non-Bell/Rogers/Telus players at the same time.
-
Charles Smith (@ProfSmithSask) reported@afhill @VassB @SaskTel Yes. I’ve never heard of that problem.
-
Bill Tubbs (@biletubes) reported@BakedGoodsYYC @MondoAlberta @PierrePoilievre Sorry, I meant Rogers in BC need not worry about competition from Sasktel. On customer service and retail aspects of the business, I can’t see a problem with having competition.
-
Fish Creek Brewing Co. (@fishcreekbeer) reported@SamyiMo @TheBeaverton Clearly they should have redundancies. The fact Bell, TELUS, Shaw, Cogeco, Videotron, Sasktel, etc. already exist didn’t prevent Interac’s service from going down. How would another 5, 10 or 100 competitors have?
-
Judith Richardson 🇨🇦 😷💉🇺🇦🌻🇺🇦 (@juderich59) reported@MrCanSays @ProfSmithSask @SaskTel Gary Filmon, after an Election campaign during which he claimed he would never privatize our telecom company. Provincial Cons would love to privatize MBHydro too but we MBns have long memories & are not havin that. Meanwhile they use it as their cash cow as much as they can. 😑

Debra Crashley (@CrashleyDebra) reported@CTVNews I live in Sask. and have all my services thru Sasktel. This outage only affected my shopping. Will never change over service providers.
-
Baked Goods (@BakedGoodsYYC) reported@biletubes @MondoAlberta @PierrePoilievre service in SK is like half the price it is elsewhere. And they manage to do that while providing excellent coverage to some of the lowest population densities of any network in the country. And people love the service Sasktel agents give.
