Shaw Issues Reports Near Markham, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Markham and nearby locations:

  • DelroyDyer89
Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.

  • AlsoKnownAs_AA
Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

  • DelroyDyer89
Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@ShawInfo needs to sell @FreedomMobile at a discount. They have neglected the network. It's unacceptable that in this day and age rain interrupts mobile data.

  • MisterJustinT
Justin T (@MisterJustinT) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@CM02051985 @smFISHMAN @ShawInfo Enter your info, it might redirect you to the Network. I get a Rogers pop up to enter my info, that might just be how it works for Shaw.

    DJ Phoenix (@DJPh03NiX) reported

@Shawhelp This is just for my internet. It shows my account number but all other info brings up errors saying it can’t be retrieved with a retry option that doesn’t do anything. Not sure if there’s work being done on the backend or a server issue but it’s making it impossible to pay online.

  • laxbird
Common Sense Politics Please (@laxbird) reported

You just have to love the ****** @Shawhelp service. They give you chat service that doesn't work for Shaw. Then give you a number that doesn't have service. How are you suppose to contact these people.

  • __guzzzzi
    Guzzzi (@__guzzzzi) reported

@ACBgal @Shawhelp Hey! Did you fix it? Same problem here

  • Danrek77
    Dave (@Danrek77) reported

@Shawhelp Yes, I didn’t even unbox this new one. I had contacted support immediately after taking the package from Purolator because the box looked trashed. My problem was the lady on support said nothing about bew hardware or when it might come, just the email with the QR Fed Ex label

  • SmileyYYC
    Bella Bee (@SmileyYYC) reported

@shawhelp 50 minutes on support, getting transferred to 3 agents. And still no answers. Damn how I wish y’all didn’t merge with #Rogers

  • Danrek77
    Dave (@Danrek77) reported

@Shawhelp Like, I really had no reason to upgrade from 1 gigabit to 2 and this “delivery experience” and the subsequent support “experience” has me kind of convinced to just keep what I had and unwind the upgrade.

  • MaryPChipman
    Ugabug (@MaryPChipman) reported

@Shawhelp I have to return the old modem & the new TV box that didn't work. The 1st technician sent me a FedEx label but there's no FedEx in my neighbourhood. The 2nd technician said he was going to send me a label for Canada Post/UPS, both of which are far more accessible but he never did

  • MaryPChipman
    Ugabug (@MaryPChipman) reported

@Shawhelp I'll try moving the extender to be closer to the box first. If that doesn't work, I'll contact you again.

  • shelbyae
    🌼🍄Shelby Lou Who🍄🌼 (@shelbyae) reported

I love when @Shawhelp has random outages before their scheduled maintenance outages. But since I’m not technically a Roger’s customer, their customer service can’t help/notify of the outage 🙄

    🇻🇨🇺🇦 G.F. Liverpool™© 🇺🇦🇹🇹 (#GLBI NOW) 🧩 (@gfliverpool9966) reported

@Shawhelp Now I just spoke to a different agent who said that there is maintenance in the area. Why isn't that on the outage webpage?
