@gmbutts Disaster recovery at all those companies needs to be re-evaluated. Rogers goes down, they should be able to flip to Bell or Telus.

@sameo416 In B.C., both Telus and Shaw use contract installers who used to be former employees (part of cost-cutting). If I need effective customer support for Telus mobile (50% of our family's phones), I use a retail outlet at a local mall. Offshore support can't resolve billing issues.

  • ziggily ziggily piggily (@ziggily) reported

@Emarie110265 Used to have Bell and would never go back to them. Found they only gave info asked for and had to be very careful about extra charges not mentioned during the purchase. Changed to Telus. So far the service has been good.

  • ItsJustKylaney ItsJustKylaney (@ItsJustKylaney) reported

@donaldbarker709 @BodenschatzRyan Exactly. Any services that were Telus and Bell that are run through the Rogers network, were also down. Though this sounds good, it's not a viable solution.

  • ItsJustKylaney ItsJustKylaney (@ItsJustKylaney) reported

@steveslaunwhite @RogersHelps @Vampayakarin Telus is offering $100 credit to anyone switching their mobile service to them. I have moved my cable, landline and internet to Bell and 2 cell phones to Telus. I have danced this dance with Rogers too long. I have my own business and I need a stable and reliable network.

  • outdoorlover321 T_M (@outdoorlover321) reported

@EastwoodWolf @sunlorrie But if you install fiber optic, you no longer have a land line Phone runs off same system It will have 4 hour back-up battery for power outage. But if internet outage, fiber optic lines will not work Only thing that works is the old copper lines, which telus won't let people keep

@FourWinns298 @RogersHelps Outage, what outage? TELUS about it!

  • Malcha_Marg Mike Hogan 🇺🇦 (@Malcha_Marg) reported from Courtenay, British Columbia

I get my home internet service and mobile data plan from two different companies (Telus and Shaw). A wise plan going forward. #NotRogers #rogersoutage

  • herrerairis2 Iris (@herrerairis2) reported

@sunlorrie My home phome is VOIP from USA. My cell is Telus. My internet is Dotto. I used to have Rogers TV and the service was garbage.
