  God my internet is so slow :/ I have Telus purefibre 250 Mbps and man it is sooo slow to download games or stuff on my laptop like it takes an hour plus. tbh i kinda did forgot what internet plan i actually had (lol) but i thankfully will probably upgrade to either purefibre 1 gigabit or 1.5 gigabit and hopefully i will have much faster speeds :) and once i do that, i will only have to get an Ethernet port installed in my bedroom and then i will finally not have to worry about internet speeds again :3

  @TELUSsupport hi, sorry to bother you again, but I’m unable to log into My Telus account at all since Aug 2. When I try to reset my password or use the Login Link email feature, Telus doesn’t send me the emails for either. And yes, my email entered is correct. What is happening?

  @RichardLBennett Data centres are everywhere. How do you think Telus, Rogers , Bell, all operate? Let alone any internet service provider. How are you possibly able to get out of bed knowing that the internet is operating every day? By the way, you're using data centres right now posting on X.

  @MPelletierCIO I agree likely still has lower to go, but Dodig may have kitchen sinked the quarter to exceed expectations later. For instance, 2.1b write down for Digital may be excessive if sovereign data centres gain traction with govt support. Telus is the only one pursuing this build out.

  I added more $AMPG. Being down 0.8% after such news is just diabolical. This is what a company at an inflection point looks like. Do people realize that this company did $5M in revenue last quarter and is now getting tons of Telus money from a $66B project?

  $TU — Dividend investors in TU just got peeled. TELUS announced a brutal 55% dividend cut to $0.1875/quarter, coinciding with a $2.1 billion non-cash impairment at TELUS Digital. This drove a $1.8 billion net loss for Q2. This wasn't a minor tweak; it's a clear signal of deeper operational challenges, especially within their digital segment, following a Q1 dividend growth pause and a 52% net income drop in May. The drastic dividend reset aims to deleverage the balance sheet, targeting 3.0x net debt/EBITDA by end-2028 from 3.5x currently. This move is expected to save $2.7 billion cumulatively through 2028, with the DRIP discount ending October 1st to further reduce dilution. Full-year guidance was slashed across the board: service revenue now flat to -2%, Adjusted EBITDA -2% to -4%, and free cash flow around $1.8 billion. This magnitude of impairment and guidance cut will rattle income-focused portfolios. We're watching for concrete asset monetization updates and progress on their leverage target.
