Globe - The risk of Starlink entering Canada for wireless is unlikely due to foreign ownership rules, spectrum constraints and the MVNO framework. In our view, this makes Canadian telecom stocks, in a relative haven from the uncertainty around potential U.S. wireless disruption. Impact: Neutral to our estimates and long-term outlook. $T Telus - analyst downgraded and reduced $1.00 to $19 and expecting soft results and a dividend reset. $BCE BCE - Reduced target by $1.00 to $38 $RCI.B Rogers - No news for June or early July I have found. Riding down on the current Canadian Telco sentiment waiting for the sports spin off update at earnings.

    @DanAlbas I got billed with similar BS charge by Telus which I did not approve and I had to fight for days to get the it removed. I don’t know how many customer review their bills and how many of them are paying unapproved bill amount

    @VanRothnRoll @HoneycutRa @TWilsonOttawa No but I hear from lots (including people in Northern Ontario) that they can't stand the GTA. I'd like to go some day and hang out at the Mervish. My wife went once (for business) and refuses to go back, even though she saw a Jays game from the Telus private box.

    @genymoneyca Interesting read. We just switched to Telus and managed to get 5 phones (whole family) for $180 all in month to month. Regular things they all offer (Canada & US stuff). They gave us 500GB shared a month which we will never get close to using.

    @jodyvance @TELUS Just phone Telus Loyalty dept directly. Do not call customer or technical support. Cal loyalty and they will fix it all up and probably lower you bill at the same time. Sadly, like most, you have no idea how telecom works. You only know how to complain when it doesn’t.

    Hey People don't ever get a 3rd party like Telus to have control over things like your heating and air conditioning. I put in for a cancelation of service for the end of the month and I thought it was on good terms. Wrong. They shut everything down 2 hours later. No warning

    Have any of the ISP like Bell or telus spoken against c-22? Or are they onboard with the digital tyranny? Asking because I am going to outright cancel my entire service and go with an VOIP home phone and smoke signals for encryption

    @bcbluecon Telus sucks as well. They all start you at a reduced rate and then keep jacking it up. Try Starlink if you can.

    @ThematicTrader @mkfilko From what I’ve read, $TRT’s margins were stable for four years and only came down recently. If my intuition is right, they probably lowered them to get a foot in the door with Micron and COHR. Something similar happened with AMPG: they cut their margins to get a foot in the door with TELUS, and once they were in, they raised them again. But I'm open to your thoughts, since I'm still DDing this company.
