    Ok so no wifi/Internet at the new home until @TELUS can get someone in to do something with the line I guessM tech who came out said "the ends are different than the ones in Calgary" or something. It's weird too because can see about 20 neighbors ALL with Telus internet. This REALLY sucks and I hope doesn't take 2+ weeks 😢

    @TELUS Yes, finally. It was very frustrating & felt like an invasion of privacy to answer all the questions + agent transfers simply to cancel an account that was at the end of its term. Every other utility allows you to do this online & it saves a lot of time, why not Telus?

    Today an @EPCOR garbage truck took out my phone landline in the back alley. I've witnessed them striking the overhead cables before, but today they broke one. Went through a rigamarole explaining to @telus to send a technician tomorrow. I loath both of these companies, BTW.🤬

    @FringedCanuck @Starlink Interesting as I had Starlink for several years and never an issue. Telus ran fiber optic out past our place and offered a great price.. so we sucked in and got hooked up. We have been having issues with it cutting in and out the past few days. Strange coincidence

    @DouglasTodd @TELUS I would argue that the immigration drove down prices. 10 years ago, I was paying 70 dollars for 1 line with a few GB of data. Today, I have two lines and 150 GB of shared data for 70 dollars.

    @TELUS Nobody gave me an asset calling, and the support team in the app is really slow, I did had an answer but I’m not happy with the service attention.

    @fordnation Ontario. • Industry dominance — Groceries: Top 4-5 chains control ~72-80% market share, fueling high food prices (up 30% in 5 years, highest G7 food inflation). Telecom: Big Three (Bell/Rogers/Telus) hold 80-90% wireless market, high bills. Car insurance: Elevated rates in many provinces. • Real estate — Foreign buyer ban extended to Jan 2027, but past offshore/domestic investor activity inflated prices; housing remains unaffordable. • Private colleges — “Diploma mills” exploit international students with misleading promises, poor quality; crackdowns ongoing amid permit caps. • Tax overload — Paycheque deductions, GST/HST on buys, property taxes, embedded in utilities/fuel/bills, plus annual filings — heavy multi-level burden. Other pressures: Soaring cost of living (groceries/utilities/housing), long healthcare waits, big bank fees, productivity stagnation, wage insecurity despite data debates.

    @TELUS @mmabrey1 We finally checked with our neighbours, whose TELUS service is working perfectly. When we brought this up to your team on our latest call—which we have now been stuck on for over an hour—the story suddenly changed. Now we’re being told there hasn't been a disruption in our area.
