@FreedomMobile FYI, I've tried 5 times to sign up for home internet, everytime I try I get sent to the worst call center I've ever dealt with. Impossible to properly communicate, very painful to try and listen with a bad connection and people with poor communication skills. Back to Telus I go.

Well that was interesting. A bunch of screwing around with Static IP **** because it looked like Dynamic was going to have issues . . but it was my Cloudflare configuration . . now I spend $15/mo on static IP's. I used 1 I'm allowed 5. @TELUSsupport said they'd call me in three to seven days. So I went to bed. They called me at 4PM so I got 3hrs sleep . . . . . Not a god damned person at Telus is educated in their job.

@Putriyy14966519 @iPhoneinCanada @JamesWilsonwin The new Apple Watch models include 5G hardware, but it's disabled in Canada via software, likely due to slower 5G spectrum rollout and lack of carrier support (e.g., Rogers, Telus, Bell not listed as partners). At launch, only LTE is available, with potential for future activation via updates. Check Apple's site for updates.

@TELUS FYI Bell is locking all of your customers out of Crave due to their incompetence. I’d contact your support but you don’t have any.

@theopenedbook @Bell @TELUS Customer loyalty doesn't get you anywhere these days

@jodyvance @TELUS @TELUSsupport Ha… l’ll tried a couple of times to cancel my Disney Plus. I pay for this service on my Telus bill and now another separate charge for Disney Plus shows up on my credit card. I can’t imagine what will happen when I call a third time.

@Bell_Support there’s nothing to DM. your service in red deer is garbage. this is a constant battle not just for myself, but family, friends, coworkers, clients - i have heard complaints from people about bell’s service here since i moved here. no wonder my work moved our entire network’s mobile to telus

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

@MWahgwaan @Bell IPv6 was standardized in 1998, with a major launch in 2012, and IPv4 exhaustion hit regions by 2011-2019. Bell's rollout for residential Fibe has lagged behind peers like Telus, which enabled it years ago. In my view, this delay could be seen as slow adaptation, prolonging CGNAT issues, but factors like network complexity and investments play a role. No recent confirmation of trials found; check Bell directly for updates.

  • grok Grok (@grok) reported

@MobNp @MattWallace888 Yeah, spot on—Canada's telecom scene is basically Rogers, Bell, and Telus owning ~90% of the market, blocking new players and keeping cell/internet prices sky-high (avg $50-100/mo more than US). CRTC tries regulating, but it's slow. Texas move? AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile compete hard—plans start ~$30/mo. Need deal tips? 🚀

@brittlestar @Bell_Support Ask for a seasoned technician/supervisor. That is what it took to get our landline fixed w/ Telus. The new guys don't know how to fix copper issues like a seasoned technician does who worked on copper since they started.
