@TeacherMr_G Telus sent someone door knocking to our door last night to try and capitalize on it. The guy specifically referred to the outage.

@JustinBarracosa @danni_flach @Shadeau90z It’s not, I’m with Telus and have no issues with their service.

@tamalama67 Shaw Roger Telus they all have worse service than any tel-tech company in the US and a lot worse than in Thailand. I get minimal cell bars at my place now but in Thailand I got cell service on top of their highest mountain never had a dead signal or dropped call.

Look out for your people w/ a Rogers carrier ASAP. @Rogers is **** & can't keep 911 open mid acquisition of Shaw Cable. Pay for minutes not a Rogers contract or go to @TELUS or @Bell

@ehdubzzz @Fidomobile Too bad they use Rogers cell towers, so it's basically the same thing my guy. Go Telus or Virgin

@steeletalk There was another way(theory). Pop the sim card from the rogers phone to make it simless and then try. All networks accept 911 calls from a mobile. Even with out paid service. My theory is the simless phone would connect the call through a functional network, Bell or Telus.

@LeafandThistle This was a little priceless: I went to Telus to buy a pay as you go (solo mom need contact) and they couldn’t use their payment system. Good thing I have cash from when everyone was having accounts locked down/ I was ready to pay.

@NforEnd @sunlorrie People don’t get it yet that all providers are linked. Koodo is a telus company and when we had the rainstorm that took down Ontario this past spring - I had no phone and no internet for almost three days because telus was down.

@BodenschatzRyan Not sure what happened, but near midnight alberta time my Fido phone switched to telus network for about an hour before service was restored, no data but the carrier was indeed telus. I assumed they gave up and made the very deal you are suggesting, albeit very late.
