@Marcus620FTM @TELUS If they don’t offer service there, they should be able to waive that fee. I had this same experience with a previous provider. But I just kept at them until I got the fair solution I deserved.

@kimpagegluckie It got ripped in the metro in Athens between the airport and Syntagma. I realized it the minute I was exiting the metro. Got to hotel, got on laptop. Messaged family to phone Telus. I tried their "online" support at the time. /x

@kimpagegluckie I get home, and I have a $2k bill. I'm like, wtf. Call Telus. First contact doesn't have authority to wave so they escalate. The manager dude I talked to is literally the worst customer rep I've ever dealt with. He blamed me, threatened me. Told me it was my fault.

@calgaryherald @TELUS I live 1.5 km from a city of 68k. Only 1 provider could give us service and that failed this year due to neighbors trees. Literally zero internet. Tried smart hub and voila! We have internet that doesn’t keep failing every day. Most small towns have better internet than I do.

@kimpagegluckie They're all aghast. Stupid thing is in the end Telus only ever gave me a 50% reduction on the charges. I just cancelled my account and refused to pay. **** that ****. If you can't give me guarantees against reported theft when I travel a lot - bye.
