@saschasegan was reading the Speedtest for Canada and trying to understand the Telus/Bell result. Is it that their 5G works by using 5G and LTE at the same time, hence “5G is just another band on top of LTE”? In short, are they doing MIMO with multiple LTE signals & 1 5G signal?

  • JruGordon The Real Jrü Gordon (@JruGordon) reported from St. Thomas, Ontario

@dabloat @freedomsupport Exactly. Rogers/Fido/Chatr is having issues too. I've heard Telus/Koodo and Bell/Virgin are also having issues. No word yet on SaskTel, Vidéotron, or TBayTel though

  • KeeganGoerz Keegan Goerz (@KeeganGoerz) reported from London, Ontario

@evefavretto @saschasegan @TELUS I mean fair enough I guess. SIM swap scams are getting to be a massive problem… and given how attached folks are to their phone number it would be really rough to have to get a new one.

@howiethomas @KrisLipscombe @ChristyMin @chevrolet @Nike @TELUS @TSN_Sports They do but it doesn’t mean their sponsor $ is allocated to anyone other than the men’s program. Don’t get me wrong I would love to see it and think they deserve the coverage. I just think you have to get the sponsors to buy in that it’s worth it and for us to support it🚨🏆🇨🇦

  • FGluns Frank (@FGluns) reported from London, Ontario

@D420Kato @pokelawls @RogersHelps @Bell Telus only have service on the west coast

@EdmontonOilers @ScotiabankArena Between the Oilers deciding to just shutting off their brains for 3 minutes straight and the zebras absolute refusal to let the Oilers have a PP I now have a broken telus remote.

  • gyromancer_mt Gyromancer (@gyromancer_mt) reported

So, I asked AI what it thought of this… “It is deeply concerning and completely unacceptable for @telus to deliberately slow down the speed of data transmission, rendering their service more of an annoyance than a useful tool for consumers. —>

  • lilimill11 Lili Mill (@lilimill11) reported

FYI if you are with @TELUS and have your Network setting Automatic (standard for all phones) they will charge you US roaming fees in CANADA if your phone connects to a US tower. It is your fault if your phone connects when you are 15km from the border…

  • margotware Margot C. Ware (@margotware) reported

@support_shaw your customer service is ridiculous! I just spent 30 mins simply asking if I could get a price reduction and after guaranteeing me a deal in the end the rep backtracked. You are forcing me to switch to #Telus for my Internet, phone & TV. How annoying!!

  • apukwa @apukwa@mstdn.ca (Scott M.) (@apukwa) reported

@MobileSyrup Our charity has both Rogers and Telus service for redundancy. Rogers was a bit of a pain to start, but has since gotten much better. Telus has been awful from the beginning and each time I have to reach out to them it's worse. Just breathtakingly horrible service.

  • NikkiStyxx Speaker of truths! (@NikkiStyxx) reported

I was today years old when I was told it’s my problem to clean my modem. @Shawhelp said their product could burn my house down… @TELUS please tell me you won’t burn my house down…@Shawhelp please don’t respond. You have done enough. Cheers

  • lgr Lee Robertson (@lgr) reported

Hey @TELUS just a heads up. Today is the day I switch all my devices away from you after your stupid credit card fee, and the latest rise of cost per phone. I will be happy to be rid of you forever! Congrats on pissing off your customers, you have succeeded!

  • Elise1821 Elise Kwan (@Elise1821) reported

Wow @TELUS not impressed. someone called to say since i'm a loyal customer, they want to give you a free phone upgrade. I said I don't want an upgrade and my phone is not with telus only for the telus person to say, why ******** did you let me talk about it. Swearing not cool

  • MikeMcLaren18 Mike McLaren (@MikeMcLaren18) reported

@AppenGlobal Twitter is the last resort of a desperate person. I’ve tried the standard means. It seems that Appen needs support desk help. I chose Appen, should take my skills to Telus or another competitor? There ARE jobs needing to be filled according to LinkedIn. Pls help. Thx
