  @saschasegan was reading the Speedtest for Canada and trying to understand the Telus/Bell result. Is it that their 5G works by using 5G and LTE at the same time, hence “5G is just another band on top of LTE”? In short, are they doing MIMO with multiple LTE signals & 1 5G signal?

  @dabloat @freedomsupport Exactly. Rogers/Fido/Chatr is having issues too. I've heard Telus/Koodo and Bell/Virgin are also having issues. No word yet on SaskTel, Vidéotron, or TBayTel though

  @BestBuyCanHelp @BestBuyCanada I bought a Best Buy Geek Squad Verified open box iPhone 12 Pro Max as a gift for my wife, and when I inserted the Sim, there was no signal detected. Called my carrier, Telus, and they said the IMEI is blacklisted. Extremely shocking and upsetting!!

Considering the damage that can be done to people's finances and credit by things like stolen SIMs it's important for cell phone companies to have really good security and for people to utilize all the security features and knowledge they can for those sites
