Telus Issues Reports Near Gladstone, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Gladstone and nearby locations:

  • KeeganGoerz Keegan Goerz (@KeeganGoerz) reported from London, Ontario

@evefavretto @saschasegan @TELUS I mean fair enough I guess. SIM swap scams are getting to be a massive problem… and given how attached folks are to their phone number it would be really rough to have to get a new one.

  • FGluns Frank (@FGluns) reported from London, Ontario

@D420Kato @pokelawls @RogersHelps @Bell Telus only have service on the west coast

  • KeeganGoerz Keegan Goerz (@KeeganGoerz) reported from London, Ontario

@saschasegan was reading the Speedtest for Canada and trying to understand the Telus/Bell result. Is it that their 5G works by using 5G and LTE at the same time, hence “5G is just another band on top of LTE”? In short, are they doing MIMO with multiple LTE signals & 1 5G signal?

  • OriginalGoo22 Gapper Habs Fan 76 (@OriginalGoo22) reported from London, Ontario

@howiethomas @KrisLipscombe @ChristyMin @chevrolet @Nike @TELUS @TSN_Sports They do but it doesn’t mean their sponsor $ is allocated to anyone other than the men’s program. Don’t get me wrong I would love to see it and think they deserve the coverage. I just think you have to get the sponsors to buy in that it’s worth it and for us to support it🚨🏆🇨🇦

  • Timeafit Timea Janos (@Timeafit) reported from London, Ontario

@TELUSsupport is London Ontario network completely down? Says no service for my entire family? We are all Telus!

  • JruGordon The Real Jrü Gordon (@JruGordon) reported from St. Thomas, Ontario

@dabloat @freedomsupport Exactly. Rogers/Fido/Chatr is having issues too. I've heard Telus/Koodo and Bell/Virgin are also having issues. No word yet on SaskTel, Vidéotron, or TBayTel though

@Crof Telus wi-fi network & JUST specifically the *Twitter App* was inaccessible between 4am-8PM -- What were they "tweeking" I wonder?🤔🤨

  • illuminatima Illuminatima (@illuminatima) reported

@bestgirlyazy Are you on Telus? Apparently they specifically have Twitter issues right now. You should be able to browse through data or VPN.

  • 8701denise D (@8701denise) reported

@sweaterhag @cougsta Telus customer here. Twitter wouldn’t load for most of the day.

  • ectodog sam ✩ 🎨⚔️ team cyberpunk 💿 (@ectodog) reported

@sharksndonuts i think it was a telus issue anyway??? based on the comments i saw on one of those “down detector” sites which were all from people in western canada and mentioning Telus shdhdhdndm

  • CalgaryRASC Calgary RASC (@CalgaryRASC) reported

@Neil_Zee I had all sorts of trouble today, but like another respondent, I was using my TELUS home wifi for my phone

  • DaveyWiggersAB Davey Wiggers (@DaveyWiggersAB) reported

@JoelTeeling @TELUS If you're a Costco member, look into Primus. Its backbone is on Shaw, but with Telus style customer service. Difference is, you can at least reach them 24/7

  • BrandieHarrop Brandie Harrop (@BrandieHarrop) reported

@middle_over @strathconian We have tried xplornet, mcsnet, Telus, bell, Syban, and others that are no longer around. Part of the issue is they over sell the tower taking on more clients than the tower can service. Resulting in crap service for everyone. Crap service that they are charging $150/month for.

  • aquasyreni Aqua @ playing neo twewy (@aquasyreni) reported

Ok heads up, so apparently Telus is having issues and that’s why my phone has been like… not working lately lmao. I can’t get online or send texts half the time, so if I’m hard to get ahold of until that’s sorted, that’s why

  • JoelTeeling Joel Teeling (@JoelTeeling) reported

My @TELUS internet isn’t working (which isn’t uncommon) and when I call technical support, it’s closed. When I was with Shaw, they offered 24 support, not to mention, my service was rarely down. I regret ever switching my internet to TELUS.

  • Zemiki Zemiki💙Comms FULL💜 (@Zemiki) reported

@vephriel Do you have Telus internet? I had this issue as well until I turned the wifi on my phone off and used a VPN on my desktop. downdetector . ca has a lot of comments of Telus users in Western Canada having the same issue.
