Gregoryfan (@Gregory_SB35) reportedGod my internet is so slow :/ I have Telus purefibre 250 Mbps and man it is sooo slow to download games or stuff on my laptop like it takes an hour plus. tbh i kinda did forgot what internet plan i actually had (lol) but i thankfully will probably upgrade to either purefibre 1 gigabit or 1.5 gigabit and hopefully i will have much faster speeds :) and once i do that, i will only have to get an Ethernet port installed in my bedroom and then i will finally not have to worry about internet speeds again :3

Enkhmanal 🟠 (@Enkhmanal) reported$TU - TELUS CUT ITS DIVIDEND 55% AND RAISED CAPEX. THE FREE CASH FLOW GUIDE FELL A QUARTER. Every rung of the 2026 guide moved at once. Free cash flow to about $1.8 billion from about $2.45 billion; capital expenditures UP to about $2.6 billion from about $2.3 billion; consolidated service revenue growth to flat-to−2% from 2% to 4%; adjusted EBITDA growth to −2% to −4% from 2% to 4%. The quarterly dividend was reset 55% to $0.1875 a share, an annualized $0.75, which TELUS says frees roughly $2.7 billion of cash through 2028 for debt reduction. The payout policy moved to 45–60% of trailing free cash flow from 60–75%, and the discount on the dividend reinvestment plan is gone from October 1 — the company says that reduces shareholder dilution. The leverage target itself never moved. The deadline did: about 3.0 times net debt to adjusted EBITDA by year-end 2028 rather than 2027, from 3.5 times at quarter-end, citing "competitive pricing pressure and reduced subscriber demand amid lower population growth." Mobile phone net additions were 17,000. A carrier that grew by connecting a growing country is repricing for one that isn't. The dividend is what pays for the extra year. Shares fell about 12%.

MRD (@MRD87694463) reported@MPelletierCIO 9$ target, at that point depending on what telus is doing, its an acceptable buy if they havent removed most of their old management, then its not a buy yet as they will continue to allocate capital incorrectly. It's hard to allocate capital correctly if you believe you dont need to understand how the technology works that you're managing and building. Bad Culture. Truth hurts. Telus is a dud until they clear the house

michaelm (@mikemoore0057) reportedRe. land line, I need to hang onto the phone number as it's registered everywhere and a PITA to change. Anyway, I too was paying a high monthly so I told Telus I was considering dumping it and they gave me a loyalty rate of $2.50 per month. They must do this to pretend they still have a customer base. And yes, porting to VOIP is something I was considering as I already have a couple of numbers.

Tesla Guelph (@TeslaGuelph) reportedPlease @TELUS can you work to improve the very poor cellular service at Pinery Provincial Park? We don't need gigabit service, but basic call and messaging services would offer basic safety.
