@Tosh_Mizzau To be honest, I'm with Telus on this one. A Rogers/Shaw merger would create a monstrosity. Rogers is already big & bad enough.

  • lakersfan111888 J D (@lakersfan111888) reported

@coleynmh Don't know if you have allegiances but Koodo right now (Telus' sister company) has a 12gb deal and it's $50 per month before taxes. It's crazy, their support is always super good and the reception is always excellent.

  • jfmezei Jean-François Mezei (@jfmezei) reported

Telus says Rogers could get national rights for foreign streamers and available only to their customers. The DMEO stipulates that unless a streaming service is available to any/all canadians without subscription to a specific BDU/ISP, they don’t get exemption. #CRTC

Its time @Rogers got their **** together. 5 spam calls since 7am. Seriously is @Telus can have call control why cant you. I know where my service is headed if nothing changes by end of my contract.

  • glenspen RGlen Franklin (@glenspen) reported

@TELUSBusiness I have a daughter who was on Telus, but her service always ended once she got off hwy 1 out of AB, BC. I was on a trip with a woman who had Telus & it was pretty similar. Disgusting actually! Never for here. They don’t make deals with other telcos that work for their customers.

  • Hannah_Bananaz Andy Lee (@Hannah_Bananaz) reported

Telus had originally partnered with Huawei to provide its 5G services. While the company officially back-pedalled and ultimately went with Ericsson and Nokia instead, there is already existing Huawei gear throughout Telus’ radio access network on cell towers across Canada. 14/

  • Hannah_Bananaz Andy Lee (@Hannah_Bananaz) reported

Here’s the other thing: China Mobile doesn’t even own or operate any telecom network facilities in Canada. Instead, it piggybacked onto Telus to provide wireless services through Telus' network. China Mobile partnered with Telus to provide SIM cards, under the brand CTExcel. 11/

  • stacytowers9904 Stacy (@stacytowers9904) reported

@TELUS Tried calling Customer Support at 8:45am EST and you're not open yet? Website says 8am?

  • Tosh_Mizzau Tosh (@Tosh_Mizzau) reported

@thechrislarsen Yes, they're obviously correct. But the issue is that if it was Telus merging with someone they wouldn't care at all. And yeah, I do think Rogers would be making the same case. Corporations know that corporate consolidation is awful but only care when it's their competitor.

  • alexposadzki Alexandra Posadzki (@alexposadzki) reported

Zainul Mawji says it comes down to ensuring that the environment allows everyone to compete. Telus is confused about why the merger is required, she says.
