@VancouverSun Telus that got rich off of a monopoly in the telecom market so they can branch out into unrelated services like Telus Health and rip us off too? Nationalize their network.

@SoniaFurstenau @adriandix So we cancel Telus Health today. Now what? There are no family doctors. These aren’t desperate measures, they are logical responses to a failed system . The system needs a radical rethink. More money won’t solve a systemic problem

@AndrewNJohns @TELUSHealth TELUS: Root problem is doctor shortage. VSB: Root problem is Kindergarten lotteries. Combined with the privilege of people like you and me, to place priority on our health & education means: 1⃣TELUS has to hire docs with existing clients. 2⃣VSB has 78% capture; lowest in 🇨🇦!

@Nevin_Thompson @oliveridley @K_elly_B I’m optimistic new GP funding agreement and contracts that fund overheard outside of salary will undercut some of the “efficiencies” used by Telus to gain market position. Funding operating costs is something new & unique to BC and is an actual policy shift that should help.

Apparently only Bell supports transfering eSIMs. Time to buy a new Telus sSIM after less than 2 weeks of usage due to switching to the new Pixel 7 Pro. Ugh. @TELUS #FAIL.

@PauloEastvan If I did would I have to phone Telus? I don't have a GP and my government is throwing healthcare under the bus along with all the provinces. Telus is the new go-to to solve all our problems

@rodmickleburgh @TheTyee BFD…only deals with the Telus Life program, with about 4000 enrolled. Does not apply to the basic FREE Telus program that provides access to Fam Drs. Also diverts attention from the real issues around the lack of fam Drs.

  • matthewlaird
    Matthew Laird (@matthewlaird) reported

Telus Health: "We're confused why the province didn't consult with us first before shutting down our service which was violating the very clear law against our business model."

@PublicKris @K_elly_B It’s not that I think they are doing the “best they can” - I question general critiques w/o specificity that sound bad. I don’t think BC is pushing privatization like in Ontario. I think Telus is exploiting the situation for sure but that’s not the govt doing it.
