@amarmoney20 @arsongurl @nationalpost Yes, CBC is funded. The rest are privately owned companies. Again, CTRC is not media. It is the police of media, to simplify it. Fox is a television network, CNN is a branch of a larger media conglomerate. Telus is not media.

@aSpottedJoan We lookedatshaw but their coverage is not there yet. Was a Telus customer for years and when I asked about a better plan they balked, ended up with Telus (koodoo) so far so good

@mrdeclanregan "Fibre" is kind of a term people get hung up on. You can get gig speeds on cable modems now. Actual fibre not really necessary. Service availability still needs work, and I'd expect a good chunk of this funding to end up in Shaw/Telus bank accounts.

How great! After being a @TELUS customer for almost 20 yrs they’re willing to provide a $5 discount under their “customer loyalty” program. Seriously!!! Ok time to shop elsewhere. Anybody have suggestions for a provider who values customers?
