Marco Niese (@marconiese) reported@JonFraserTF @TELUS You fell for the "lease phone" trick. It's the same as leasing a car. Get the car, return it when your lease is up, and pay for any damage to the car. I never understood why that lease contract was legal in Canada. Next time only consider contracts where you own the phone.

Jon Fraser (@JonFraserTF) reported@marconiese @TELUS I didn't fall for anything. I weighed the options and at the time it worked for me. My company wouldn't reimburse me for a new phone outright, but they had not issue with the lease.

They kept sending me a bill for a home phone and I don't have one. I phoned Customer Service and had them credit my account for the charges. They did. I am still getting bills though!!!
