Anyone else experience an hour of internet outage? Both my #telus phone and #bell fibre went down at around 212am. My phone service came back but not internet and lost all service again at 232am. What kind of “upgrades” do you think went on?

@TheColo97363255 @CTVNews They didn’t ping your phones location. Your cell provider did, like they always do. You consent to that ping when you have cellular service on. Then TELUS aggregated and de-identified that data before giving it to the government. Your private data wasn’t given away.

  • DreamManager101 Matthew Morrison (@DreamManager101) reported

@MonikaSocialYeg Mine is not working either. Since the app updated I cannot log in. A ticket has been filed with Telus and they said it is a service outage.

  • AlannaKellyNews Alanna Kelly (@AlannaKellyNews) reported

Service has resumed & E-Comm is receiving 911 calls from the Central/Southern Okanagan region. “The cause of the outage is under investigation with TELUS techs working throughout the night.”

@telus wtf is going on with cell data in downtown Toronto!? Nothing is working

  • goalieparent Christy Waisman (@goalieparent) reported

@hawes @TELUS Send @telus a bill for your time. Last month I called them to cancel my landline and their agent tried to shame me. It was a surreal experience. Then, to top it off, he never implemented the changes. #useless

  • AlannaKellyNews Alanna Kelly (@AlannaKellyNews) reported

This 911 emergency line has stopped functioning for almost four hours now. Back at 4 p.m. E-Comm says its technicians are working with Telus to determine the cause of the disruption and they're attempting to restore service.
