@jkmnew @TELUSsupport @PublicMobile The messenger app was the first casualty. At least the backup messenger (the notification app) worked even though the message was garbled. It gave the very important (most important) message - it is not your phone it is us Telus with the problem. Don't adjust you phone.

Some of you might be aware of widespread mobile outages today (at least Telus & affiliates). I was able to get online and verify this from Telus. I was outside a mall a few minutes later and an older fellow with a very beat up phone sheepishly asked if I could help him...

@jypseywheel @TELUSsupport I still think that Telus has,by far the best internet service with their PureFiber at office or home. All you then need to back up their mobile service is a voip number and service (mine cost $0.85 per month) and a free voip app on your phone (free).

All the people going on about the telus outage (which is momentary now and then at worst) need to put their phones down for many more hrs a day.

@HalversonTrevor @TELUSsupport Its not a Telus fault that your phone notification setting is incorrect. It is the fault of you phone OS or your inability to program it correctly. You need to take ownership of your problems.
