To bad Roger's bell and Telus need to take Take every thing over and this would happened under bell and Telus

  • kurtseifried Kurt Seifried (He/Him) (@kurtseifried) reported

@TheJenRollins Telus went to a converged IP network ages ago (they were one of the first telcos to do it actually) over a decade ago. If they crash their BGP there’d be a similar outage to rogers even for “landlines” which haven’t been POTS anywhere in ages. TLDR it’s all internet protocol now.

@sarrahh011 I was with Telus for yrr put my kid on koodo 15 yrs ago, then I switched 10 yrs ago. Love them. No issues even when in rural Quebec. I think they Have better deals. I hate bell & Rogers equally.... So for the house needs, I am screwed lol.

  • JackieBee_16 JB (@JackieBee_16) reported

@TrentonFarewell @SherryHallworth I’m not going to. 20 years I’ve been with @Rogers! I also have a cell phone for work that’s Telus so…I could use that in a pinch. This outage could have literally happened to any service provider tho…

  • meilach Sam Meilach (@meilach) reported

@CTVNews Why couldn't Roger's temporarily transfer all customers to Bell or Telus in such an emergency?

  • biletubes Bill Tubbs (@biletubes) reported

@BakedGoodsYYC @MondoAlberta @PierrePoilievre I don’t doubt that a regulated utility can be an innovative industry leader (e.g. SaskTel). But I believe market competition ensures all others have to catch up to the leader. I don’t know why Telus/Rogers/Bell are consistently so bad but I think it could be lack of competition.

Also, I'm seeing a lot of the government should be doing that job comments. As a Telus customer I was largely unaffected at the level I needed. If this had happened to a true government monopoly all of us would have been shut down.

  • CraigArsenault1 Craig Arsenault (@CraigArsenault1) reported

@RogersHelps There’s a reason I’ve switched my family’s cells to Telus and I guess soon to be home wifi / cable switching to Bell. Roger’s service and appreciation of its customers is 100% non-existent

  • Avi_serfay Avi serfaty (@Avi_serfay) reported

@JoyAndDefiance I hope they will sue @Rogers ***... even the lotto wasn't working -tied to Rogers ...the first thing I did is change my phone service from Rogers to @Telus ... Hope they will not go down at the same time ...

  • eimaj66 J.L. White (@eimaj66) reported

@ugottabekiddin You should switch to Telus, my service hardly ever goes out.
