Mr. Dan Wolfe Foscarini 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇮🇹 (@competentmen) reported@Starlink UPDATE: Been on @Starlink for the last week 100% ... did some tests, interesting results... Since I use a vpn and wireguard for work, I tested the speed of the connections... Fiber Optic from @telus is way faster without the vpn, but I can't do that for work.... Starlink was faster then the optic on the vpn... I don't really have an idea as to why, I do know that I am physically close to the main trunk lines and main pbx for the area, so that might have a lot to do with it... more switches to deal with in vpn mode via optic, less with starlink. This was actually surprising for me. So as far as wireguard+vpn starlink wins for sure. But... I still have an issue with the billing office being in Canada, and randomizing the mac address is still a problem, but that one might be just the way I have configured things, will look more into it. As for the canada connection, that might be solved later via some changes that are coming for us as a family. we'll see.

Sandie🇨🇦 (@Sandie23456) reported@genocidalgirl Yes. I get promotional calls from Rogers, Telus etc. often from some Indian with their stupid accent to which my reply is always “I only do business with Canadians”. They hang up on my every time. I’m far meaner with the Indian fraud/scam calls.

I have trouble maintaining a phone call in my KITCHEN IN TOWN .... constantly dropping signal and I am not the only one, there is a dead zone in the subdivision I live in that everyone has issues with but Telus has done nothing IN THE 23 YEARS i HAVE LIVED HERE TO FIX THE PROBLEM ... this issue is well enough known to have had local news stories written about it. SO they want to uograde Victoria you say ... whoop de do :(

A great @telus story of poor customer service and possibly why their stock continues to languish. I was looking at opening a $T Telus fibre Internet account and seeing what the prices/speeds were for comparison to Rogers. On the website it says they are open to 6:30pm pacific and no one is available to talk to me today but get this... Nobody is available ALL DAY Friday to talk to me and the earliest is 1:30pm on Saturday. If you wonder why the stock is down...
