@reaktor_field @CRTCeng 100%. I’d imagine the state of their network is horrific. Supposedly Telus is the only one here that actually does a decent job with their BGP implementation. I’ve never peered with them directly so I don’t know, but pretty sad if it’s 1/4.

@TimHortons I recently purchased a Tim's card through telus rewards and it won't load to the app, I took it into 3 stores to ask and got blank stares and your support is pull down menus, not people for app support. Can I have a number to a human here in canada ? #timhortons

@darrinhenshaw The piece has some clues: it was a cascading failure knocked their in-house network offline so they had to sneaker-net to their remote sites, they also lost VPN at the same time and only the fact they had some Bell and Telus SIM cards about let them talk to each other at all.

@davidcarr333 I’m still waiting to see how public health plans to “personal responsibility” hospitalization. Maybe that’s where Telus Health comes in? Problem is, they refer to folks to ER rather than see patients themselves. They’re very much part of the problem.

@lenflood @KalebMacaroni @Dallyd31 This is nonsensical. Critical digital network is government controlled through the CRTC. The same reason you hear about Telus, Rogers & Bell but not AT&T , T-Mobile or Verizon. It’s a ******* monopolized system. Who’s responsible for all of it? Trudeau & his regulations.

@brittlestar This is why customer retention at @TELUS didn't give a crap when I called to say I found a better deal elsewhere (@Virgin ). So good do far.

@CP24 Bull ****, in most places if they just turned off the towers peoples phones would have switched to Bell/Telus per roaming agreements. Rogers-EXT Network

@kirst_alyssa @TELUS If you have went to blue curve watch the quality of the feed. They will have you running up and down stairs hooking and unhooking the box, blue curve is terrible compared to Gateway. The gateway remote sucked but a least there wasn't pixelation all the time especially sportsnet
