Rogers and Bell have both told reporters they do not plan to adopt similar accent‑modifying AI for their customer‑service channels, drawing a distinction with Telus on how AI should be used in call‑centre operations

all you got was nothing for that wifi. that will be fix. new wifi router. telus will not be giving you the password. that is why you do not use cellphone data. they go to the cellphone company and steal all your passwords and hack you. they have the router.

@markmandel007 @WestJet Westjet wanted cheap labor they got it. The agents in Telus El Salvador have a mediocre English level, they can't even understand a spelling, they work with "scripts" unnatural customer service, then they grow after 1 month of training without any experience in airlines at all

@Tablesalt13 Actually ok with this because I can't understand a ******* thing usually. Also I left Telus, Shaw, Rogers, Bell years ago. **** them.

@CalgaryDave Actually it was all the Indian Temporary Foreign Workers that popped up about 3 years ago at Rogers, Telus, etc, that were collecting all the phone number info and demographics, whenever they sold a phone or hooked up a new service. The company's only crime was stupidity to hire a bunch of foreigners. The same TFWs moonlighted making spam calls and fraud calls.

@GG37374104 Wow really !? I still have my landline with Telus and have never had them ask me to give it up. People wonder why I keep it but I find it way better sound quality than any cell phone I’ve ever had.

@Wiserfool2 @CDInewsletter I bought Telus several years ago for the dividend yield but I’m now down about 40% on the share price. I’m just waiting for the right price to dump it

So get this, Telus is using masking technology (AI) to hide the fact their Call Centre employees have accents coming from places such as India - so they are deceiving customers that they employee Canadians and are not - they are deceiving their entire customer base.
