@NDP Shaw, as always kept Telus in check in BC. I have been with both and have used one against the other to lower my monthly cable internet cost. Nationally, Telus, Roger's and Bell keep the same price. ie. Price fixing on mobile data. So yes, I have serious issues with this merger.

Anybody else in SW calgary experiencing @TELUS outage? @TELUSsupport

  • Univers86798195 Universe (@Univers86798195) reported

@NDP AFTER merge, Telus and Roger's will price match and we the consumer will pay more. It is proven by their mobile data plans that we see between Telus Roger's and Bell. I am with fido now and get a lower price from Roger's for worse service. It is undeniable what will happen

@crystalmundypsy Two sides indeed: 1) Companies like TELUS that spend a ton on advertising with CBC, and hope to make $B from privatization 2) Those who make less than $75k/yr and will never be able to afford ‘private’ health care, and will be left out in the cold.

The process of switching to an eSIM with Telus is surprisingly stupid. If you order online, it's $10 + tax and then you have to wait days for them to mail you a card (instead of, y'know, just emailing you a QR code).
