We really need a "Let's talk about our shit expensive telecom cartel." day. Maybe Rogers, Telus and Bell could all donate five cent per tweet toward rolling proper internet speed outside big urban area. All we need is a catchy # #TrustBustTheCartel #RoBeLusLetsTalk #BellLetsTalk

@Jake877x @TELUSsupport I think they’ve closed their customer service department. Their automated system today told me to try contact during regular business hours. And that was 12:30pm on a Monday! Telus isn’t gonna be around much longer with such service.

Does anyone else find it insane that @TELUS now warns you that they might charge you a service fee if you want to talk to an agent?

@BenKlass @CANADALAND The end result is that Bell and Telus decided to build cellular in MB to compete against telco incumbent MTS. This is what drove prices down because Bell/Telus were out o hurt MTS by lowering prices to gain market share (they started with 0%). MTS has always been the incumbent.

@TELUSsupport - I have been on the phone with Telus customer care for an hr. How long is the waiting..

  • jfmezei
    Jean-François Mezei (@jfmezei) reported

@BenKlass @CANADALAND When MTS bought Allstream it became black sheep because it stepped out of its territory to compete against Bell/Telus with CNCP’s national network. Also: Bell could no longer buy MTS because of Allstream being one of 2 national networks (telco + CNCP).

@TELUS @TELUSsupport what’s the point of having a customer service number when I can’t reach anyone due to your automated system?
