Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron said this kind of thing happens (often?) & that the only option I have is to accept their “courtesy” of $75 and pay the rest otherwise i will receive late fees and eventually they will cut off my service and come get the equipment but that I would still have to pay.

martin lutteral 🇨🇦 (@mlutteral) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron I've been a loyal client for the last 17 years. I don't know who's making the big decisions in your company, but (s)he is a ******* idiot. In the span of about one year you went from the best ISP in town to one of the worst. Time to move.
-
Dan Carnelly (@dancarnelly) reported from Montréal, QuebecSo @Videotron tech support no longer 24/7 but now only from 9am? Wow, it’s just like living back in France. Got to take time out of work to get anything done.
-
ZAZA BADAZZ♒️⭐️🏁 (@loveZaa36) reported from Montréal, QuebecWthhh @Videotron why is my txting not working 😡😡
-
Kathy M (@kathym425) reported from Montréal, Quebec@lesleychestrman @Bell_Support Good for you! Bell customer service sucks. I dumped them years ago and have been a happy Videotron client ever since.
-
jyseerys (@jayseereyes) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron No, but chat with a customer representative. Even her couldn't provide any solutions instead apologizing for the situation. Well, her apologizing is not what I need because it didn't solve the charges or any kind of that matter.
-
Cee (@CeeFor) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron @DjBlaster Interesting. We’ve dealt with Videotron maybe 3 times as potential customers and every time we’ve had agenda flat out refuse to speak English. Even when we get telemarketing calls, when I say I don’t speak French they just say “ok bye” and hang up. Always a bad experience.
-
Beth W (@bunnyette) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron you billed my elderly mother for items returned in October but I’m the one who has to go to the store to get this fixed? I’m in 😬Toronto! Great customer service
-
Jaaaaaayyyyy (@zerojay) reported from Montréal, Quebec2am thunderstrike overhead fried my Google wifi, Videotron cable modem, a network switch and possibly my ethernet card on my main PC. Very glad I kept a backup router so I can at least get internal services (Plex) back up.
-
martin lutteral 🇨🇦 (@mlutteral) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron You don't have a technical support. I've been waiting 45 minutes and nobody pick up. You are pathetic
-
David MacIntyre (@dave_mac609) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron Three times in the last month you have needed to send a technician to my house to fix my internet and TV, and the same issues keep reoccurring. Internet has been AWOL since last night and TV signal weak. This is absolutely unac-*******-ceptable. Disgraceful. Do better.

Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec@sol_da_ @Videotron The audacity they have. + the representatives I spoke to had such bad attitudes. They tried to make it seem like they were doing me a favor or something.

-
Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron still charged me upfront $388+ tax with installation fees of $60 even though I chose to pay in $12 for 24 months. When my bill came out on July 9th, I called customer service. They told me it was a mistake and that they would see what they could do. Lol
-
Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron is this the customer experience you want for your clients? So if I don’t have the money to pay $400 that I wasn’t supposed to be charged upfront, then you cut off my service and still leave me with the bill? This is none sense.
-
Nick Chrysanthakopoulos (@NickChrysantha1) reported from Montréal, Quebec@fagstein @Videotron No internet problem on my Videotron account but two days ago I did notice my Videotron PVR cable box's time display was lagging by seven minutes!! Never saw that before. Just putting it out there.

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Mark C (@markc1061) reported@Videotron Ottawa wireless data still not working.
-
Francis Taquin (@FrancisTaquin1) reported" With Rogers shutting its 3G network on July 31 too, it’s likely that Freedom Mobile and Videotron’s 3G shutdown is related, since its wireless customers also roam on Rogers. “Starting July 31, 2025, one of our Canadian partners will begin shutting down their 3G network, beginning with the province of Quebec, as well as Ottawa, and it’s surrounding areas,” says Freedom Mobile. Recently, Rogers and Fido have already started cutting off working phones that were using its 3G networks, in what was deemed accidental. Rogers is also charging a $75 network fee if users continue to use 3G networks. "

Scale (@alliareault) reported@PringleJosh Hi. I'm a resident tenant at AGORA. Internet/tv included in rent signed LEASE- WAS NEVER DONE= NO INTERNET SINCE JULY 2024. Centurion my landlord/owner facilitator of internet/tv corporative account Vidéotron monopoly provider- ony only authotized by CRTC- no personal interbet/tv accounts TAL ruled against me told me I have to appeal. I am to Cour Supérieur du Québec for punitive damages, stress & compensation due to loss of income vs Centurion & Vidéotron who colluded fraudulently vs me & my son to TAL. -
Jean Laroche (@boursouvie) reportedAnyone here has audio problems with @CNBC linear TV (Vidéotron is my internet provider)?
-
Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reportedSo Bell, Cogeco, Videotron and CNOC wanted a cartel where everyone must be paying CNOC members to wholesale internet at affordable rates. **** CNOC. For Bell Cogeco, Rogers & Videotron to push this, they sure as hell want protection from another bundle player. No denying that.
-
Scale (@alliareault) reportedMy credit bad they refused to give me router registered to Corporative Internet Account Centurion- landlord facilitators & Vidéotron- telecom providers- only ones authorized by CRTC at my location. TAL ruled against me. I'm waiting for them to adhere to QC Canadian & Global Regs.
-
Alex Stevens (@AlexSte49374492) reported@ReclaimTheNetHQ I'm not hearing much opposition from the major internet service providers like Bell, Rogers, Telus, Videotron, Cogeco, Eastlink in regard to bill c-22. So I guess they are all in?
-
Chris (@Silverxx27) reported@FreedomMobile Get your internet services working constantly down for long periods wont be sticking with you guys this is a joke since videotron buy freedom hello big boy companies again
-
Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reportedStill no #CRTC outage reports from: -Videotron -Rogers -Wholesale/resale (Storm Internet aside) -Freedom mobile (which also couldn't provide french service during the outage).
-
Dwayne Winseck (@mediamorphis) reported@Bryson_M @BenKlass @MersereauMichel +1 to this pt. The Tribunal put great weight on how competitive backhaul markets were & how that would underpin the success of Videotron as a replacement for Freedom Mobile & even as a new rival for bundled ISP & TV services. All w/ no public data to support the claim.
