  • heccryptokid cryptogranpa (@heccryptokid) reported

@chris_tew @CJLatAm A Videotron employee told me during a service call they were testing it already 3-4 months back, in Montréal

  • ryanrdt Jack-A-Roe (@ryanrdt) reported

@norootcause Videotron is really solid for home internet. I hate to support a separatist. Honestly I highly doubt whoever made the mistake will work in the industry again. I know the business and reliability has been a huge focus for years. Really Canada does have reliable service

  • hwoarangtag hwoarangtag (@hwoarangtag) reported

@Videotron unfortunately. Your tech support reps are as clueless as the affected consumers. Promising them that within 3 hours, service will be restored, and 5hours has gone by, nothing is working

  • HasanHaiNL Hasan Hai 🧜🏾‍♂️ (He/Him) (@HasanHaiNL) reported

Ah, once I manually switched the network to a new one (I chose Videotron), issue is resolved. Wild that Rogers is STILL having trouble!

  • BTC_Sniper btcsniper (@BTC_Sniper) reported

Who still pay for T.V. subscription @Bell_Support @Videotron , you basically pay to consume ads, while you can pay premium service on #youtube or #netflix for no ads..

  • JoseDominio Joe Dominion (@JoseDominio) reported

@mat_schmaltz Capitalism is the reason why the problem was not worse than it was: there were still lots of other options available because private companies made it so. Millions of people weren't affected by Rogers outage at all, because they were on Shaw, Telus, Cogeco, Videotron, etc.

  • jfmezei Jean-François Mezei (@jfmezei) reported

@Mark_Goldberg Rogers cellular 302-720 network remained “available” in many areas of the country (such a s montreal) so phones did not fall back to making 911 on Bell/Telus/Videotron/Freedom.

  • hwoarangtag hwoarangtag (@hwoarangtag) reported

@Videotron outage since 16h08. 4 hours later and still no internet. Maybe another Rogers incident?

  • Ghostyy___ Ghosty (@Ghostyy___) reported

@FaraamTwink not as bad as videotron probably tho

  • Ed3463 Ed Fine (@Ed3463) reported

@nspector4 In specific regions one telco wld likely dominate (eg Videotron in Quebec?) Leaving regions almost as vulnerable. Is the problem really that the GTA went down? Would it have been a nation issue if it was Calgary? So maybe we just need insurance for the Toronto users...
