Vidéotron Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • WMichaelOsborne Michael Osborne (@WMichaelOsborne) reported

There are two big problems with the @CompBureau position. (1) The original deal will not, cannot, happen: the parties have entered into binding agreements to sell Freedom to Videotron.

  • WMichaelOsborne Michael Osborne (@WMichaelOsborne) reported

The first ground of appeal really comes down to who bears the burden of proof. But cases almost NEVER turn on burden. Here, the Tribunal didn't just find that there was no SLPC; it found that the modified deal (Videotron buys Freedom, Rogers buys Shaw) will increase competition.

  • WMichaelOsborne Michael Osborne (@WMichaelOsborne) reported

@CompBureau Notice of Appeal raises 2 grounds: 1. Tribunal should have analyzed original deal (Rogers buys all of Shaw including Freedom), then considered whether Freedom divestiture to #Videotron resolves competition problems.

  • LeSeanMTL Coffee & Wingtips (@LeSeanMTL) reported

@virginmedia Just transferred my mobile from Videotron to Virgin and no service! I never had outages with @Videotron and before I even was hooked up with Virgin, no service. Is it normal for Virgin to have constant outages? This is Canada and we expect major snow storms….

  • quaid_jennifer Jennifer Quaid (@quaid_jennifer) reported

3 key points: - Tribunal analysis based on deal, *as modified by divestiture to Videotron*, so only loss of Freedom wireless, not Shaw wireless as a whole - only AB & BC geographic markets in issue - wireline business not considered as @CompBureau did not allege this was issue

  • Co_Piloter The CoPiloter (@Co_Piloter) reported

@peternowak I was curious re: part of the Freedom sale to Videotron, Rogers would provide Videotron access to their wired network at rates below what was established for any other competitor ( e.g. Teksavvy ). Doesnt this violate some rule, og give grounds to get that lowered rate for all?

  • tinpanalleypics Phil Vasquez (@tinpanalleypics) reported

@Videotron is your online chat just no longer active? Never available.

  • KalSDavian kal creates (@KalSDavian) reported

@Videotron Yeah, you keep saying that, and yet we continue to have to use this piece of garbage.

  • InsaneLawsane Marc Lawsane (@InsaneLawsane) reported

@Videotron so what's the problem now?

  • eduardorevuelta Eduardo Revuelta (@eduardorevuelta) reported

@Videotron gaming using this third world internet is so frustrating and I'm stuck with this garbage for another 6 months..
