@fagstein @Videotron No internet problem on my Videotron account but two days ago I did notice my Videotron PVR cable box's time display was lagging by seven minutes!! Never saw that before. Just putting it out there.

@Videotron Besides, I didn't because I wasn't aware of my limits till I received my bill. However, this month I did receive an alert regarding with my usage limits. So it wasn't a technical problem.

@Videotron @DjBlaster Interesting. We’ve dealt with Videotron maybe 3 times as potential customers and every time we’ve had agenda flat out refuse to speak English. Even when we get telemarketing calls, when I say I don’t speak French they just say “ok bye” and hang up. Always a bad experience.

@Videotron still charged me upfront $388+ tax with installation fees of $60 even though I chose to pay in $12 for 24 months. When my bill came out on July 9th, I called customer service. They told me it was a mistake and that they would see what they could do. Lol

I switched to @Videotron on June 8th 2021. They offered their high speed internet service, Helix with no installation fees. They gave me 2 options: - Pay for equipment upfront: $388+ tax OR - Pay $12 + tax/month for 24 months. I went with the 2nd option. But guess what?

@Videotron said this kind of thing happens (often?) & that the only option I have is to accept their “courtesy” of $75 and pay the rest otherwise i will receive late fees and eventually they will cut off my service and come get the equipment but that I would still have to pay.

@cbcmarketplace @CBC @cbcgem I’ll also add the hat the Rogers merger with Shaw needs to be stopped. It’s great Shaw is going to sell its phone service to Videotron in QB as part of the “conditions” for Quebec and ONLY Quebec. It should not be allowed.

@peternowak I was curious re: part of the Freedom sale to Videotron, Rogers would provide Videotron access to their wired network at rates below what was established for any other competitor ( e.g. Teksavvy ). Doesnt this violate some rule, og give grounds to get that lowered rate for all?

Nice to know @videotron is screwing with secondary ISP the sell to, supposed to be getting 15mpbs down and 10 up, but upload speeds r the low kbps and half or less my normal download rates, and they have given @TekSavvyCSR no info since the ticket was opened over 24hrs ago.

Practically, this means: - Tribunal looked at merger as modified by parties (ie with Freedom sale to Videotron) - only AB & BC markets at issue - only wireless market Within these market bounds, there is no substantial lessening or prevention of competition.
