Robert Gamble (@LotSixteen) reported from Richmond, Prince Edward IslandOur new power line poles are at 60 meter spacings - perfect for stringing cable. @Bell_Aliant has abandoned us to @Xplornet, and @Xplornet has yet to show any initiative in extending service. We are starved for decent broadband and would switch in a heartbeat.

After two years with no visible action, I asked @Bell_Aliant if they had plans to extend service to my area. I was told by a @Bell_Aliant manager that Lot 16 area wasn't worth their time to offer Fibre in Belmont.

Telus released a bunch of BS stating its government policy that limits the cell spectrum to rural customers. In other words they want federal and provincial funding to help them along.

Derek Gould (@dgouldca) reported@Larry_Short @VOCMNEWS I signed up, since I can't get xplornet or reliable cell service at my cabin. Deposit is $129, full cost for equipment is $649, then $129/mo. Still waiting, but sites "mid to late 2021".
