-
Robert Gamble (@LotSixteen) reported from Richmond, Prince Edward IslandOur new power line poles are at 60 meter spacings - perfect for stringing cable. @Bell_Aliant has abandoned us to @Xplornet, and @Xplornet has yet to show any initiative in extending service. We are starved for decent broadband and would switch in a heartbeat.

Robert Gamble (@LotSixteen) reported from Richmond, Prince Edward Island@mudlanegoldens @kbcmc @DerekMacEwen @Xplornet @XplornetSupport @APLenehan @Bell_Aliant and @Xplornet are the two worst possible options we could pick. Too bad @PEIGuardian didn't do a story on how dissatisfied we are at having only these to pick from.

Robert Gamble (@LotSixteen) reported from Richmond, Prince Edward Island@DerekMacEwen @kbcmc @Bell_Aliant @Xplornet @WickedEH @redsandspei @Eastlink The logic being they could rent pole space to run fiber lines. After two years with no visible action, I asked @Bell_Aliant if they had plans to extend service to my area. I was told by a @Bell_Aliant manager that Lot 16 area wasn't worth their time to offer Fibre in Belmont.

Robert Gamble (@LotSixteen) reported from Richmond, Prince Edward Island@kbcmc @Xplornet Well if ya had some decent internet to feed into your router, the problem might be solved.

-
Lucas Bourque (@Lucas_Bourque_) reportedWhere I live we surprisingly don’t have Bell Fibre. Our only options were Eastlink, Xplornet, or Starlink. Eastlink’s lines in our area were very congested and the service was often slow and spotty, so we decided to try Starlink.
-
MeanLadyOnTheSwing♀️ (@MichelleWTHell) reported@xplore_ca My internet has become incredibly slow and unreliable since Explore had bought out CCI here in rural Alberta. My neighbours too have noticed it. Instead of buying trucks, relocate that money towards improving your towers!
-
Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reportedAlternative explanation: These people use Xplornet that never works. These people used to hitting send 9 times for everything. A product of their "world Class" Canadian Communications. This is likely the best explanation and "OpenMedia" was honest enough to show it. #CRTC
-
Robert Way (@LabradorIce) reported@ClimateSadie Lots of issues with XplorNet from users. We have had it before and the cost versus speed and limitations on data usage were real tough. Most people that I know who had XplorNet in communities didn't keep it.
-
Kel.Ehh (@KelllEhhh) reported@xplore_ca have you any updates for your outage? We were told last night at 8:30pm EST that crews were dispatched and should only take 3 hours... It's been 11 hours since then and still no updates or service.
-
Ery 🍒 🇨🇦 (@eRyJaCks) reported@xplore_ca @xplornet My xplornet internet down AGAIN for the third work day in just under 2 weeks. For someone who needs internet to be able to work from home, it's not cool! Service was great until 2 weeks ago. What's going on @xplore_ca??
-
Jill Harris 🪄 (@jilliancynth) reported@JennArndt Our ONLY Internet option for our new house is Xplornet, and it's HORRIBLE. So frustrating. So expensive for extremely slow Internet.
-
Brett Petracek (@BrettRace) reported@LyttonW90219 @Martyupnorth_2 The satellite xplornet was migraine inducing. Their tower service is much better, but i don't think they offer above 50mbps yet. If they don't offer faster speeds/higher bandwidth soon I might be going to starlink.
-
Jason Wright (@JasonDwright2) reported@issaibahim84 @Bell_Support StarLink is 140.00 a month. We are up over 450 mbs on a Gen2 receiver. The Mini we have on the trucks ,we are seldom under 350 mbs even doing 65 mph down the highway. We had Bell,it went down more than my ex wife, samething with Xplornet,Telus. Starlink has been the best to date.
-
G. Louise (@Shuswapgigi) reported@MrStache9 We have Starlink and we like it. We live rural so our options were limited and what we had was very poor in both cost and effectiveness. Starlink was super easy to set up and works reliably well. It costs us $156 a month which is more that xplornet but I wouldn't go back!
