"This announcement positions @Xplornet to begin 5G deployment in rural Canada this upcoming summer." *groans when it takes 10 years before upgrades are completed, and the network can't support 4G speeds already...*

@m3t4lw01f @Xplornet Exactly. I have no other option at all currently, as I cannot get a decent signal from the only other local supplier. People have moved from this road to get away from Xplornet.

Literally 5 min after I get off the phone with @Xplornet , service goes down AGAIN. I live with a LTC worker and a person who has stage 5 cancer and NEED access at ALL times, yet when I call I get told nothing can be done. Maybe @globalnews, @CTVNews would like to talk to you

@m3t4lw01f @Xplornet Tempted to write a lil bot script to run an iperf every half hour and submit an excel sheet with network info + Speedtest results to xplornet at end of month. Would be interesting to see what CRTC/CCTS would say as well.

  • KMal_T8N Kevin Malinowski AB expat in ON, involved in both (@KMal_T8N) reported

@SpaceXStarlink @elonmusk is there any way to access the beta other than the email submission on the website? We are currently subscr to TBaytel rural DSL 2 Mbps if lucky, Xplornet Satelite that gives us 2.5 Mbps max if lucky awful latency, and an LTE hub data package. $400/month
