Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Parham and nearby locations:

  • gbdmedia Brad Duffy (@gbdmedia) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@APLenehan our local tower has had “known issues” for four years now. Our internet doesn’t work at all now. According to xplornet, there are no plans to fix the tower. This is the worst service I have ever seen. 10 kB/s now. This is shameful.

  • koopy Steve Koopman (@koopy) reported from South Frontenac, Ontario

@AndyBlizzard87 I hear ya. I was with WTC for years near Sunbury but after our last move they didn’t have coverage in our current rural area. We were forced to choose @Xplornet, who have been hit and miss, but over the last 1-2 years they’ve been brutal because they flooded their LTE service.

PSA for any Steam Deck owners who have Xplornet Satellite: Xplornet's Double-NAT ecosystem creates connection issues on the Steam Deck. Until Steam provides an update to address this issue, you will have to use a different ISP to connect to Steam's servers reliably.

Phone is Rogers and internet is xplornet. That’s why I still read the papers. Unreliable, but they’re all bad.

  • TDoraty Trevor Doraty (@TDoraty) reported

@MoeFraser @mrmikeMTL @Xplornet I don't know if they service all the way down to you. But I'm on the same road (7 km away) and we use teksavvy and they're great

  • AutoCathcart cathcart auto parts (@AutoCathcart) reported

@Xplornet no one will help me ,2 days with no phones,no one their cares or will help us.If you do not have the ability to fix your phones why not tell us and we will explore a new provider

  • catboymech catboy (@catboymech) reported

also I guess I might as well do a bug report to the relevant parties @OnDeck @Xplornet please fix, okay

  • Badenoch1 Paul Rhodes (@Badenoch1) reported

@Xplornet The usual canned response. This is not a question about my account but your response regarding all of the Xplornet accounts left without service due to the Rogers outage. They are providing compensation equal to five days of service. What are you doing?

  • cuddleyjo Little Kitty (@cuddleyjo) reported

@MarieColorie @Xplornet Mine has been so so bad too, only though for maybe 10 weeks :/

  • zmarv zmarv (@zmarv) reported

@xplornetretweet @Xplornet How about an outage map or is that bad for your image? How about an automated email/sms telling people theit service is down? How about equipment that shows true status of Internet service? And your customer support line worked once in last 16 hours!

  • starkinly Sara (@starkinly) reported

@JC_TheMetalHead @Xplornet The person on the phone when I cancelled said they don’t take equipment back. We never purchased it.

  • jstadtke1 Jennifer Stadtke (@jstadtke1) reported

@RobeyEdith @Xplornet Definitely unacceptable. It took 15 phone calls and a letter to the CRTC to have xplornet send a service tech. We had no service many times throughout the day and finally one employee at Xplornet advocated for us. We now have more consistent service but it took hours on the phone
