@Xplornet I spent a collective 8.5 hours over those three days on the phone with technical support, but thanks for the lukewarm response. Still couldn't get it running. Neither could the advanced team. So, I repeat my initial question.
Under some governments terms we have “good enough” internet service. Let me tell you what that means. It means that after 5pm we cannot access our internet because the servers are overcapacitated (I’m talking to you @Xplornet).
@CalamityJayne4 Hahahaha. In Ontario 2 h north of Toronto you might as well be in the Arctic. @Xplornet couldn’t provide a cup of coffee let alone decent internet service
@MeghanDClark We used to have Xplornet, now I'm with MCS. They're usually ok but today our service is a mess.
@CalamityJayne4 My internet has been down since Sunday. Currently working from the library parking lot to pick up wifi... freaking Xplornet.
@Xplornet Happy first day of fall if you’re looking for a new Internet service in Ontario bell will be bringing out wireless home Internet 50 soon so instead of going to the shitty festival because your xplornet doesn’t work switch to ball today
@Xplornet You know there's a problem when iMessage doesn't even work to send text communications. Not images or videos, just plain text. Same with Facebook, Twitter, Discord, Snapchat and other communication platforms. They are almost unusable on my "full speed" & "unlimited" connection.
I wonder if it is unfair of me to use mLab's speedtest via the CIRA performance test to complain about my @Xplornet speeds. It, by far, gives the worst results of any of the test sites but it also accurately reflects my connection.
@Xplornet Today on xplornet, more things to do while you're hoping your xplornet internet service might actually deliver on their promises.
I know I haven't been especially kind to @Xplornet on Twitter at all, but what's damning is they've tried *one time* to get in touch and it's been radio silence since. Can they help? Will they help? Do they care even a little bit that we're struggling to even stay connected?
